    by cybercutie
This is a great place to stay if you have younger kids, or even those who are in their teens and want to find their own entertainment without leaving the hotel. I stayed here with my family (mom, dad and sister), and at the time my sister and I were too young to gamble and too old to be fascinated by clowns and dancing animals. So, Lo (my sis) and I headed upstairs where there was a whole amusement area, and proceeded to win a s%*tload of stuffed bears and toys and candy, thinking at the time we were the best game players Vegas had ever seen...turns out they do that so you stay entertained and your parents break the bank...

Still, its a great place for parents and kids alike, and although it is near the end of the strip, it makes for a nice walk down the strip during the day with the famille....:)

  • Stay at Circus Circus if you have little children and book your family on the Manor since it is closer to the hotel's swimming pool. You can bring your children everyday at the pool especially when it gets too hot in the desert!

Get the coupons at the front of the hotel and it gives you $4 discount on the All-Day pass for the rides at Circus Circus. It is best to buy the All-Day pass than the single passes since you and your children can go back and get to ride again. You save a lot of money that way!

The Manor House is very close to the swimming pool and the parking is just outside the hotel. You don't have to walk blocks and blocks away to get into your car. You can actually buy a lot of food outside and just store it in your car and you can always have easy access to your hotel.

We have stayed here before and enjoyed our time here. CIRCUS CIRCUS is fun for the whole family. Mom and Dad can have fun in the Casino and the kids can enjoy "The Adventuredome Theme Park" and the games and activities in the "Midway" and Free World Class Circus Acts under the Big Top. ( Performances held twice every hour from 11:00 a.m. to midnight.
Hans stayed here this time around. The special deal he got was if you stayed three nights, you got one of those nights free.

Circus Circus also has a KOA RV Park with its own swimming pool and is located across from the parking garage and near the Manor.

    Also stayed here March 7 & 8, 12 & 13, 2000 when we did a Las Vegas / Palm Springs Trip.

    Update:
While on our "Road Trip 2009" Hans and I stayed here for two nights - Sunday September 27 and Monday September 28, 2009

  • Although I didn't stay in this hotel, it was one of the many we ducked into to escape the heat. As you enter, there is an old fashioned funfair style area. There were a couple of big top shows while we were in, one of which was a trapeze show. Very good fun. Around this area are lots of sideshows thst used to be in funfairs. A lot of children were playing on them ,and they are inexpensive. If you are travelling with children, this is definitely a place to pop in to.

    Brilliant fairground style fun.

We stayed here on our 1st visit to Las Vegas. I must say................You need to love kids to stay here. Children are EVERYWHERE!!!!! From screaming babies to sarcastic teenagers. We stayed in the towers TOP floor. The elevator ride to our room would make your nose bleed. The rooms were very nice & Clean (for only paying 25.00 a night). The view was breath taking. We had an advantage. Looking out our room we could see the ONLY clock in Las Vegas. We always knew what time it was. The rooms were kept clean and they were pretty peaceful (considering all those kids). The staff was freindly (but this was back in the 1980's). I would not recommend this hotel for couples traveling without kids. You would also need to be a great navagator, the casino was confusing to get around in. The pools are crowed with children. The one thing I would recommend here is the STEAK HOUSE. We had the BEST dinner and priced very reasonably MAKE RESVERATIONS. We always make it a point to eat here when we are out west. The best to gamble here is early in the morning 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. After 6 am forget it. The casino is too crowed with families dragin their kids and seniors playing a row of machines. Another tip is gamble at Slots of Fun (right next door). We had a great time on black jack tables and met some very interesting people from england (that we are still in touch with today). This is NOT your upscale casino, but you will be treated for who you are. We always make a point to play here. NEVER EVER stay in the motel part of Circus Circus. The rooms are nasty and run down. They also are not adjacent with the casino, which is very scarey in Las Vegas.
Please see my reviews on other hotels (Westward Ho, Stardust, Fitzgeralds, Imperial Palace)

We enjoyed staying at Circus Circus. Although its one of the cheaper hotels on the strip and further up than the central hotels, we loved it. The room we had was huge , with air conditioning and a great view of Las Vegas. I couldn't beleive how big this hotel was! It had several restaurants, shops, a big theme park (Adventuredome) and 3 swimming pools. At weekends it was busier with children everywhere but that didnt bother us as the place is so huge anyway. We liked the section called Midway (we're big kids really) which is full of amusent arcades and games. My partner won me so many teddies we had to buy another suitcase to brig them home!

The pools were lovely. There were always plenty of sunloungers for everyone and it was just a nice atmosphere there. We particularly liked trying out all the restaurants in the hotel. Here is our ratings on them:
Blue Iguana- Fantastic Mexican. They do great chicken fajitas and the portions are huge! Nice setting and decor, tortillas and dips complimentary which is a bonus!
Pink Pony -very american! A typical american midde range place to eat. We loved it-you can play keno whilst you eat, again portions are huge, anf they do the best bacon cheeseburger we have ever tasted.
Stivalis- Italian Restuarant. A intimate classy place (more for couples) which does lovely home made ravioli. IF you have the calamari starter, be warned, the portion is so huge , you'll struggle with you main meal!
Circus Circus Buffet-before we went , on internet we had read some bad reviews that the buffet was bland but we have to say it was great, varied food and lots of it! The place has been refurbished and was very clean and tidy. The food was tasty and they did lovely carrot cake!
There is also a steak house but we never got round to trying it (although its been rated the best Las Vegas steak house for many years running apparently) and a pizzeria .
You won't go hungry in this hotel!
The casinos are great here too because there are plenty of cheap slot machines for us beginners so we dont have to gamble a lot of our dollars away! There are also plenty of shops to buy gifts, souvenirs and food and the them park is pretty amazing too!

We never stayed here, but many of our friends have. Some were content with it being very inexpensive, especially for families. The décor is adequate and the comfort of the rooms. Yet, they were not always happy in how crowed the pool area....lol….kids love the pool. Yet, the best feature the hotel has is the daily Circus Acts on Midway from 11 a.m. – midnight. The Midway itself is pretty cool with the neat carnival games. We always have fun here. Great place to take the kids.

Now if that was not enough, Circus Circus has an 5 acre Adventuredome This theme park is open daily. Please call their hotline for up-to-date hours, 866-456-8894 or 702-794-3939.

As our flight was seriously delayed, we arrived in the middle of the night, totally exhausted. And...the hotel was overbooked. Not enough beds. The hotel proposed a "roll away" bed. No problem, such a futility wouldn't ruin our stay.

Only... we waited and waited and they forgot to roll in the bed. We had to call 2 times before there was an extra bed... without sheets nor blankets. "Someone else would bring it"... still waiting!

Good that our "boy-and girl scout background" learned us to alwas preview a sleeping bag for in case ;-)

No bad word about the room itself. It might be a 3 stars hotel in Las Vegas, in Europe this kind of rooms would be 4 or even 5 stars!

For thrill seekers of all ages: visit the adventure dome, with more than 15 rides. Great fun!

A disadvantage of this hotel is it's location at the end of the Strip, out of "where it all happens".

  • If you decided to stay at the Circus Circus, then request to stay at the two adjacent buildings close to the swimming pool, called the Manor rooms. The only thing about this is that when someone parks, you can really hear them. The parking is very close to the rooms. Also,it takes a while to get back to the main hotel. You have to walk pass the swimming pool and cross a backstreet going to the main hotel.

They are just called Manor rooms - a glorified name for a motel. The advantage, though, is that you can have access to the swimming pool easily. Circus Circus have two swimming pools. And, they have the Adventuredome indoor theme park.

But, Circus Circus is not really that good. I would frustrate you staying there.

If your children wanted to go to a water park, then you might as well book a hotel at Greenvalley Ranch Resort (2300 Paseo Verde Dr. (at 1-215)m Henderson 866-782-9487 or 702-782-9487.

Close to the hotel is a really good community water park where there are slides, swimming pools for children and adults, umbrella water fountains, etc. It's about 15-20 minutes from downtown Las Vegas. If you rent a car, this is a great place to stay, too. Very economical and they have great buffet! (Most of the local residents come here because their casino is great and the chances of winnings are good, too!). Then, if you wanted to go to the strip, just drive. (But then again, driving is a hassle in Las Vegas! Traffic is crazy and the people drive crazily, too!)

If you are thinking of budget, the Excalibur Hotel and Alladin Hotel are not that expensive but better than Circus Circus. But, they don't have swimming pools.

Or stay at the Sahara Hotel because they have an olympic-size swimming poolwith Moroccan tiles and a sundeck.

    Have fun in Las Vegas!
