Sky Tower
Just came back from a seven night stay at Circus Circus the hotel has a smell that is undesirable, we spent as little time there as possible. It was cheap I will give it that but that is about all I can say about it. I would say it probably needs to be one of those hotels in the line to be torn downand replaced. The staff was not friendly at all we spend our money in other casinos for this very reason. I have this things about if I'm spending my money and you can't give me friendly service than I can take my business else where and that is what I did. I would never stay in this hotel again. On a prior trip I stayed at the Excalibur which was a cheap room but a least the staff was friendly and helpful which was very much lacking at Circus Circus. The staff did not even try to be friendly the room cleaner was terrible unfriendly acted as if I had asked her for gold when I asked her could I have an extra wash cloth. She did not speak english and was speaking with another employee and I am sure she was talking very ugly about me I just couldn't understand what she was saying as the other employee looking at me. I wanted to tell her a few choice words myself but I knew I had to stay a few more days and she had access to my room. I would tell anyone spend a few extra dollars and stay somewhere else closer to where the action on the strip is and with friendly hotel staff. Also just found on for rent by owner conds you can rent for the week just google for rent by owner that is also an option. Excalibur has Circus Circus bet on this survey.
Unique Quality: Nothing nothing at all even the A/C in our room worked poorly.

My family stayed at Circus Circus June 2011, check-in line long but moved quickly. Hotel was very clean had to take a smoking room but the room itself did not smell too bad the halls smelled somewhat of smoke. The beds were very comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It is an older hotel and a little outdated but the price is right and my kids had a great time, lots to do for them in the hotel itself and reasonable prices for the all the activities. Check-out was very fast also got great show prices at the half-price ticket counter. Would recommend this hotel to all my friends!!!!
Unique Quality: We stayed in the skyrise tower and had a great view of the Strasosphere. Had two pools both nice.

Gone Downhill
I stayed here one night on a recent trip and I really expected more from a full service resort and casino. The quality of the room was no better than a Motel 6 but, it was a large, spacious room. However, it really smelled like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room (very bad odor).

Shabby and dirty hotel on the strip...
We had a few days in Vegas in September 2010 and unluckily we stayed for one night at circus circus. Circus circus is located on the northern part of the strip and we felt quite unsafe walking from and to the hotel since the whle area where more poorly lit and it felt like a really bad neighbourhood.
The hotel itself looked quite interesting from the outside, but didn´t live up to our expectations at all. We had the misconception that all hotels on the strip had a certain standard to maintain and that any hotel on the strip would be better than the average best western or american best value inn. Well, Circus circus proves that it doesn´t.
It´s quite hard to pinpoint exactly what it is but the lobby, the casino, the shopping area all just felt real shabby and dirty. We got a room at the manor and the moment we walked into the corridor we felt very uneasy about staying here even if it was only for a night. the room itself was very dissatisfying as well, especially the bathroom.
The bathroom was really discusting with moledew? (or atleast it looked liked it) along the floorline. We strongly considered checking out and go looking for another hotel, but instead we went out to the streets and spend the night at the strip.
I wouldn´t recommend this hotel for anyone. Ok, it´s cheaper than average on the strip, but come on! Spend a few more dollars and you´ll get a way better experience than living on circus circus.
I´m sorry to say it but we have nothing good whatsoever to say about circus circus.
It literally stinks!
Unique Quality: There is an indoor themepark at the site.

A good base if you are on a tight budget.
We arrived at Circus Circus by taking the shuttle bus from the airport. We were dropped off at the side entrance where the hotel reception is located.
Check in took about 20 mins .
On arrival the hotel appeared to be a little tired and in need of a bit of freshening up. It was apparent that in it's time it had been a fabulous hotel.
We were allocated a room in the sky tower on the 18th floor. Lifts were quick and slightly confusing as not all of them went to the same floors. On arrival to our room we were surprised at the size of the room. It was very large and clean. The huge king size bed was comfortable.
The bath was very low and appeared to be quite small.
There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which took me back a bit as i thought that it would be standard practice as we are led to believe that the Americans are a nation of coffee drinkers. The hotel has what is known as the Medway and this is a floor dedicated to children where various funfair games can be found, a Mc Donald's and a variety of free circus acts throughout the day.
There is a large dome downstairs that contains quite a few fun fair rides, roller coaster etc .
There are various shops and stalls dotted throughout the hotel.
The corridors are massive and very long and it can take even the quickest walker at least 20-30 mins to get from their room to the front entrance.
There are quite a few places to eat in the hotel but i did not use them so cannot comment on the food quality. Meal times smelt a bit greasy which made me feel a bit queasy as i walked through which is why i did not try them. We did not have a strip view but was not disappointed at night when all the lights were on. We could see the Stratosphere and towards Fremont Street.
There was a main casino and slots o fun which had more slots and a few gaming tables. The hotel was not as nice as the ones on the main part of the strip and the services offered was not as good as others offered elsewhere but i think this is reflected in the price. I am a firm believer of you get what you pay for. Over all this hotel makes a good base for travelling about and is more geared for families which is not apparent in the other hotels available. Personally I do not think Las Vegas is a place for children in general as there are quite a few porn leaflets and lots of advertising dotted about. (not in hotel but on the streets.) Las Vegas is as advertised and very much so an adults playground.
Unique Quality: Hotel is geared up with the family in mind.
Circus acts run daily at no extra charge.
Hotel has the largest indoor theme park in America.

Cheaper and affordable hotels close to the airport
Circus Circus, Alladin, Excalibur are the affordable hotels in the Strip. The hotels can go down as low as $29.00 per night. It is located about 15 minutes from the airport.
Unique Quality: Very affordable for families with children.

Budget hotel quite central on the strip
Our last night in Las Vegas in May 2008, another pre-booked net deal at a rock bottom bargain price. Forty one years old is considered old for a hotel/ casino in Las Vegas, and I souveneired their 40th birthday mug (2 weeks after my own fortieth).
Most budget web site deals will land you in the 2 storey chalets rather than the tower - see picture. This means you have to walk over to the hotel but makes parking a sight easier.
Quite central just to the North of centre on the strip.
Unique Quality: This hotel has its own theme park.
Functional budget hotel so can recommend as such.

Circus Circus, a budget hotel with swimming pool f
If you decided to stay at the Circus Circus, then request to stay at the two adjacent buildings close to the swimming pool, called the Manor rooms. The only thing about this is that when someone parks, you can really hear them. The parking is very close to the rooms. Also,it takes a while to get back to the main hotel. You have to walk pass the swimming pool and cross a backstreet going to the main hotel.
They are just called Manor rooms - a glorified name for a motel. The advantage, though, is that you can have access to the swimming pool easily. Circus Circus have two swimming pools. And, they have the Adventuredome indoor theme park.
But, Circus Circus is not really that good. I would frustrate you staying there.
If your children wanted to go to a water park, then you might as well book a hotel at Greenvalley Ranch Resort (2300 Paseo Verde Dr. (at 1-215)m Henderson 866-782-9487 or 702-782-9487.
Close to the hotel is a really good community water park where there are slides, swimming pools for children and adults, umbrella water fountains, etc. It's about 15-20 minutes from downtown Las Vegas. If you rent a car, this is a great place to stay, too. Very economical and they have great buffet! (Most of the local residents come here because their casino is great and the chances of winnings are good, too!). Then, if you wanted to go to the strip, just drive. (But then again, driving is a hassle in Las Vegas! Traffic is crazy and the people drive crazily, too!)
If you are thinking of budget, the Excalibur Hotel and Alladin Hotel are not that expensive but better than Circus Circus. But, they don't have swimming pools.
Or stay at the Sahara Hotel because they have an olympic-size swimming poolwith Moroccan tiles and a sundeck.
Have fun in Las Vegas!

Family Fun
We never stayed here, but many of our friends have. Some were content with it being very inexpensive, especially for families. The décor is adequate and the comfort of the rooms. Yet, they were not always happy in how crowed the pool area....lol….kids love the pool. Yet, the best feature the hotel has is the daily Circus Acts on Midway from 11 a.m. – midnight. The Midway itself is pretty cool with the neat carnival games. We always have fun here. Great place to take the kids.
Now if that was not enough, Circus Circus has an 5 acre Adventuredome This theme park is open daily. Please call their hotline for up-to-date hours, 866-456-8894 or 702-794-3939.

Circus Circus
Anyone been to Circus Circus, do they supply pool towels or do we need to bring our own.
Since booking I have read some bad reviews of this hotel, anyone anything good to say about it.
Keeping fingers crossed.
RE: Circus Circus
You could do better for a hotel for not much more. Try the Aladdin, Excalibur, Stardust etc.
RE: Circus Circus
Hey,
I agree with the previous post! but if you cannot cancel, some positives would be a large arcade for children, has a theme instead of just a plain Howard Johnson, a short cab ride into the heart of the strip.
RE: Circus Circus
You'll still have a great time even if you end up staying at the Circus Circus because I'm sure you won't be spending much time there anyways.

Q: Grand Canyon Tours "Hello Can anyone suggest some any tours to the Grand Canyon by bus.. I have looked at Helicopters but this could be a bit out..."
A: "West Rim is closer to Las Vegas, but is a huge tourist trap. It isn't actually located inside Grand Canyon National Park. It's a privately run casino / resort type place."
