If you are up and down the strip now have the monorail www.lvmonorail.com, this takes you right from MGMs far as Sahara in the North, which is not too far from Fremont Street, and at worst a very inexpensive cab fare. A single trip is $5 but 3 day unlimited pass good value at $30. The Madness............

Hit the Strip! Either walk it or drive it, but do the whole thing. Take it all in. There's nothing like it. The casinos, the hotels, the people, the cars; Excess to the extreme! Turning a 20 spot into 3 hundy at The Orleans playing my least favorite game, blackjack. Beating the poopy dealer made it that much more sweet!

What do you think? Play in the Casinos! They are all beautiful. But my favorite was 'Mandalay Bay'. The colors, architecture, and interior design are wonderful there. They have alot of neat aquariums inside, too. Below is a picture I found of their 'beach'.
The Stoopid Awards

We decided that someone must've put some kind of Stoopid drug in the water, because 3 otherwise fairly intelligent women popped out with the damnedest statements after a couple of daze in Sin City.

I awoke to a gloriously sunny day - bearing in mind, please, that we're in the Dark cycle back home in Alaska - and I was filled with admiration for the lovely blue sky. I felt all sorts of profound feelings, like the way a simliar quality of light inspired Cezanne to paint his masterworks, and led Georgia O'Keefe to her own personal vision. What came out was, "Gee the sun here is just so.....so SUNNY."

Hilly was waxing eloquent about some guy problems she'd been having, and popped out with, "...and ya know, there just aren't any intuitive men." (LuLu & I of course cracked up.)

Hilly's dad Dan was with us for the last couple of daze, and was soon affected by the same stoopid drug that had numbed our brains: "Hey, have you been in the Paris Casino? I was in there the other day, and do you know, they've got it decorated like you're in some street in France!" No duh.
