Mandalay Bay is currently the largest hotel/casino at the end of Las Vegas Blvd. Construction is under way for further hotels beyond Mandalay Bay. They offer an aquarium that is a "don't miss" if in the area.

Condo Rental ?

Hi Everyone
Was trawling the VT posts and had another idea about our stay in L.V.
I was after 2 rooms for 8 nights for myself (44) and daughter (24) from 15th to 23rd Nov. All the hotels north of the strip come in at approx £600/$1200 for our stay.
Has anyone ever rented a condo in L.V.? If so, any thoughts/advice/tips.
Also any locals know what Copper Canyon/Desert Paradise resorts are like, and the resorts that congregate a couple of miles SW of the strip.

Don't think you will get a a condo for such a short stay. You might look at Extednded Stay America, or Motel 6 on Tropicana.

Here is a site with weekly rentals in LV
http://www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/usa/nevada#3709 (if that link doesn;t work just use the www.vrbo.com part). You could save a lot by fixing your own meals so even if the price is about the same, the condo is probably a better deal.

I am guessing www.vrbo.com will be your best source for such a short period of time. We rented via them for a place on Maui last February and it went very smooth.

Have now sent some enquires off to VRBO, have had a few replies already, looks like we can rent a 2 bed Condo for about $900 ish, just need to find the decent areas to stay.

If you don't have to stay downtown try the Lake Las Vegas area. We were just there looking for future wedding sites for our son and girlfriend who live in Las Vegas. The Lake LV area is really really nice, not a bad condo in the area.

Just checked the Grandview which I had referenced before n your previous post...a really great spot. It is only one (big) bedroom but has a great sofa bed in the living room, full kitchen, huge bath with jacuzzi tub and shower, located on the end of the strip. Huge South Bank casino complex with cinemas, equestrian etc next door. Clean , quiet and convenient. can be booked through all the regular booking agencies like Expedia etc. Prices for your dates range from $107 to 120 canadian per night. (which is less in US dollars....) I can recommend it.

nancynb & jamesr3939 - will look at the places suggested later today.
We have decided a condo is definitely the route for us, more space/ kitchen/ laundry/ lounge we can chill together etc.
We have already had an offer for a 2 bed approx 1.7 miles from the strip for $539 for the 8 days!!!! - VRBO #84247 - located Copper Canyon, anyone have thoughts on location?
