Quiet, clean, close to convention center
Now the Clarion, this hotel was perfect for walking to the convention center, and away from the noise of the strip.
Rooms were clean, staff was nice, stayed on the 9th floor, pretty quiet.
Room service was fast, free wifi, and the cafe at the Marriott next door was good too.
Not as fancy as the Mariott, but fairly new decor, nice.
If you don't want to walk through a smoke-filed casino and 1 mile from the car to the room, stay here.
I would not walk alone at night here though, well not any part of Vegas, too many drunks.
Unique Quality: close to convention, still close to the strip if you want to go there too.
Directions: Convention Center
The Greek Isles is clean, nice inexpesive place to stay off the strip. The rooms were modern, with free internet access. We had everything we needed and it was the perfect place to stay for an overnight trip. It was only a 5 minute walk to the strip.
Unique Quality: For those with an artistic eye, you'll love the color decor in the hallways. It's pastel greens, blues, yellows, oranges. I loved walking down the hall. I called it the Happy Hallway. It simply brightened your mood. :)
Greek Isles Hotel
This place is a great bargain! It's an airline 'crew' hotel, that is conveniently located just off the Las Vegas strip, and near the convention center.
Directions: Just off the Las Vegas Strip, near Stardust.
Off the strip
This hotel is not on the strip but not too far away either. We did'nt have a choice of hotel as this is used by the company my husband was sent to LV to do some work there we were'nt paying :-)
This hotel was once owned by the American actress Debbie Reynolds.
Unique Quality: Has a casino, a wedding chapel, a theatre where shows are on, I think when we were there it was a Rat Pack Tribute which had good revues.
Also a heated swimming pool and spa, and plenty of parking.
Staff were really nice and helpful.
Our room was a good size with a sitting area, microwave, refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities.
Ironing board, iron etc.
There is also a Greek restaurant in the hotel called Yannis.
Directions: The road opposite the Sands Hotel
