Amazing music items throughout the complex. Spent many hours wandering around.
The rooms were clean and quiet considering the demographics of the people staying there.
The hallways throughout the stores going to the casino were very narrow which made it very congested. There were so many people in their 20's and most were hammered. Not my crowd.
Never checked out the pool since it was end of Oct.
The price was right if you don't mind the loooooong walk to the Strip.
Not a bad place to stay if all you want to do is party.
Unique Quality: Loved the outfits and instruments from the various musicians that were on display.
If it's location that you are looking for, then book at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. It's at the Strip and it's not like you have to walk a long ways to go to the lobby of the hotel!
I have not booked here myself but the location is great.
Unique Quality: I will rank the location as one of the best unique quality of this hotel. It's close to the M&M store, Coca-cola store, ABC Stores, gift shops, and the Ross store.
Directions: It's across the Monte Carlo Hotel and sandwiched between the Ross Store and ABC Store
The Hard Rock in Vegas was the original party hotel. It's been copied over the years with varying degrees of success by the Palms, Planet Hollywood, etc., but in my opinion, the Hard Rock remains one of the more enjoyable hotels and casinos in town. I have stayed here probably 10 times over the years, but during my last stay, I was pleasantly surprised to see some improvements to the hotel and casino that allowed it to recapture some of its cache as the "it" spot (which had been lacking the past couple of times I'd visited). For one, they have opened up a new tower of hotel rooms. This is where I stayed in January 2010. The rooms are an upgrade from the rooms in the old hotel (not too terribly important, IMO, but nice nonetheless), they have added casino space, etc. The other improvement was to the main casino. The Hard Rock has always had a great main casino: its more intimate than many casinos in larger hotels, the casino is laid out circularly around a central circular bar, and music is constantly being played throughout the casino. This always made the Hard Rock a great place to go for groups because gamblers and non-gamblers alike could be happy: gamblers could, well, gamble and non-gamblers could hang out and oggle beautiful women at the bar/on the casino floor. However, they've really upped the ante with the Hard Rock style of "party pits" where gamblers can enjoy losing significant amounts of money in a club-like setting.
I have always loved the Hard Rock standard, having been to Hard Rock Bali and Pattaya and of cos having has a good impression.
I made use of the internet special rate at US$99 per night. I was very happy with my stay in Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas. Great bed, comfortable sheets, clean bathroom with good standard toiletries provided, and a huge LCD plasma TV too! $99 is too good to be true. Although this hotel is not located at the 'strip' unlike Bellagio, Monte Carlo etc.....its still a class of its own. It is easilly accessible to the strip by car, about 5 mins.
This hotel has a great pool and casino. Will come back here when I visit Vegas again!
Unique Quality: - Island like pool (Sand)
- Lively Casino
- Great customer Service
This tragically hip, strip adjacent hotel still hasn’t lost its edge. The young, famous and beautiful still frequent this Vegas institution. Hip music follows throughout the grounds and the rooms are comfortable and affordable. The downside: the service. Overall we were totally unimpressed with the service all around, from check in to maid service to the pool staff. The staff was unaccommodating and slow throughout our stay.
Unique Quality: The pool is still one of the best in Vegas, featuring swim-up blackjack, a sandy beach and even a waterslide. Cabana rentals fill up fast – call at 9 am exactly one week to the day you want to rent one. If you’re out of luck, sign up on the waiting list the morning of, poolside. And Sundays expect to fight the crowds at their weekly poolside “Rehab”.
Hte Hard Rock is one of my favorite hotels to stay at in Las Vegas. The fact that when you call the hotel they answer with "when would you like to stay and play?" speaks for itself. Even though this hotel is off the strip, it's well worth it. There have been times that I never even left the Hard Rock the whole weekend. It's not the bigest hotel in Las Vegas, but it has everything you need.
There's a club called Body English and the circle bar is just a bar in the center of the casino which is a happenning spot at any time of day or night.
Unique Quality: The Best part about the Hard Rock is their pool. It's huge and is so much fun. They even have swim up blackjack tables. Another great thing about the Hard Rock is that everyone there is betweenn the ages of 21 and 45. There are no kids runnign around, and no senior citizens.
I have stayed here numerous times and always enjoy myself. The only problem is that the hallways on the room floors are extremely noisy. Don't plan on sleeping in.
Unique Quality: The pool is one of the best in Vegas. Here is a picture of the pool from the room. If you are into music this is the hotel for you.
Directions: Off the Strip
I love the HRH and would definitely stay here again. It is located off the strip, so you will need a car if you want to explore,or depend on taxi's (which could get expensive). The hotel lobby is filled with music and rock memorabilia. The rooms are good size, have leather headboards, french doors, and continue on the rock theme. The casino is definitely smaller and more intimate that many of the hotels on the strip, and nights can be packed! Rock music plays continually in the common areas and can be loud. Watch out for celebrities...you never know who you might pass here.
Unique Quality: The pool area is huge! You can choose to swim in the sandy lagoon, the regular bottom pool, play on the slide, or in the circular current. You don't even have to worry about missing your favorite song...the rock music is piped in underwater. And for those that can't be apart from the gambling action, they have a few swim up blackjack tables.
Directions: Paradise Road at Harmon Avenue
Unique Quality: The pool is actually designed like a beach, sand around the whole pool area, water slide, swim up bar/casino. Plenty of entertainment to keep it fun, good vibe in general.
The "Circle Bar" inside the casino is just that, a large circular bar in the center of the casino. It tends to be the first stop of the night for a good majority of people in town for the weekend. Friendly crowd, drink are moderately priced.
The club inside the hotel "Baby's" picks up around 11pm/midnight. Friday + Saturaday alternate music formats, hip-hop one night electronic dance the other.
You could easly spend the entire weekend at the Hard Rock and not need to leave the hotel. Out of the half dozen hotels I stayed at the Hard Rock has the best overall entertaint value of them all.
The majority of people in Vegas for the weekend are there to have a good time and be social, it's never a dull moment.
Directions: Off The Strip
If you want to party, the Hard Rock Hotel is infamous for 20-somethings staying there. It's a great crowd and there's always something going on. I also like New York New York, it's cheesy but affordable and right in the middle of the strip. they have nice rooms and if you are lucky and know a high roller there, the suites come with a jacuzzi tub surrounded by mirrors!!!!
It depends on when and how you book. I got a great room at Paris for $78 online through Travelocity. But the average for a double size room at almost any hotel will range from $100-$175. Try to find a good deal online through one of the travel sites. You are guaranteed a better price.
