We were given free bus passes to Harrah’s that was good the whole time we were there. They take you there and bring you back. That is awesome. We tried it and ventured into Harrah’s. Typical hotel and casino, but it seemed nice enough. We found us a really nice restaurant here called Ming’s table. We wondered around the casino for awhile and headed for the strip. This place was hopping and loads of people gambling and enjoying the sights in here. I will say it is really really smoky in here, so we headed for the strip.
It was a beautiful evening and we really enjoyed ourselves sightseeing.

Three and a half out of five, but this hotel has a strong and loyal following. Upscale Holiday Inn type rooms, satisfying buffet, with a large selection of fruit. Great breakfast.
Gambling....I've never won here, but hearing the shouts around me, obviously I'm doing it wrong. Everybody seems to be having a good time, all the time, and there appears to be little turnover in staff. I recognize many familiar faces each time I visit.
Unique Quality: Good restaurants abound.

When in Vegas there’s a hotel to fit every style and budget. Harrah’s is located in the middle of the Strip, making it a convenient destination for exploring all that Vegas has to offer. Harrah’s is one of the older hotels on the Strip but it’s middle-of-the-road in terms of quality and price. Once inside the Casino looks like any other, no real frills here. If you can find a deal on rooms here, great… but that can sometimes be a challenge depending on the time of year. Overall, I wasn’t terribly impressed by Harrah’s. It was probably the loudest hotel I’ve stayed in Las Vegas. The rooms were small, but adequately furnished. We were staying 4 to a room and had just enough space. The hotel walls are paper thin so we could hear everything going on all around us – next door, below, above and outside. Staying in the Mardi Gras Tower our “balcony” (read really narrow cement ledge with a railing) was directly above the pool and the outdoor bar. This time of year the pool was closed so noise there didn’t factor in, but the loud nightclub was going strong well into the night. Fortunately this didn’t affect us as we rarely arrived home until well after it closed. Our room was dirty when we checked in, leading to more disappointment with the facilities. Overall, it was just okay. If you are looking for something central on the Strip AND can find a deal then Harrah’s is fine, but it’s not worth paying the high rates you might sometimes encounter here.
Unique Quality: Harrah’s is located smack dab in the middle of Las Vegas Blvd. making it very convenient to access the entire Strip on foot. It’s also located next to some of the “cheaper” casinos (lower table limits) if that’s where you want to gamble. In the summer months they have a pool. Harrah’s also features a gym and spa, but like many of the casinos, charges a fee to use them.
harrahs is a very good budget hotel located in the heart of the vegas strip. a very good place to stay if on a budget because of it's excellent location.

Yes, it’s typically not people’s first choice when planning a trip to Vegas. And it’s usually not mine, either. But for some reason I keep ending up there. Maybe it’s the great prices I continue finding. Or maybe it’s the good service that I always have. Or it could even be the fantastic location that it offers. Or perhaps I just like the casino layout and the fact that there is a Ghiradeilli’s chocolate place next door. Who knows.
Unique Quality: The rooms are average, if not maybe a little bigger than the ones at Excalibur and MGM. It has a few decent places to eat, namely the 24 hour coffee house. It also has a fairly nice little bar. The buffet, The Fresh Market Buffet, has been revamped. The Club offers good incentives like free buffet meals and show tickets if you sign up, plus you can use the card at Bally’s, Paris, Caesar’s, Rio, and a few other places. The best thing about the hotel, however, is the location. You can walk right out the doors and onto the strip in a matter of minutes. Welcome to Vegas!
Harrah's is owned by the same company as the Rio, just down the street. The place has the usual amenities of a Strip hotel- the casino, the buffet, etc. It also has La Playa Lounge, which has a beach theme to it and an outdoor area by the pool where bartenders sing, dance and breathe fire.
Harrah's major asset is it's location. It's right in the heart of the strip, across from the Mirage, next to the Venetian (and for the low-rollers, the Casino Royale.) Half of our party was in the Mardi Gras Tower, and the other was in the Carnival Tower. You want the Carnival Tower if possible, the rooms are slightly larger and in a little better shape. The rooms were quiet, and maid service was very good. Check-in lines can be long, and attitudes can range from great to surly (we encountered both.) Gifts and sundry stores are right near the elevators, which is convienent. The casino is large, but not particularly well laid out, so be sure to define meeting spots. Plenty of renovated dining options, running a little on the pricier side. You can get reasonable rates here, and the location makes it a place to consider.
Unique Quality: Right between Harrah's and the IP is a large bar / "night club" area. It's pretty loud, so try not to get a room overlooking this part of the grounds.
I have to say that Harrahs is my favorite hotel in Vegas. At least my favorite that I can afford. There are tons of more beautiful, extravagant, new hotels but I feel i get my monies worth here. I have a players card from Harrah's/Rio and i cant say I gamble too much. it seems that even though i am not a high roller i get treat great here and I get alot of comps. I think that their players total rewards program is one of the best here in Vegas. I also found out that I can now use my players card in more hotels like the Paris and a few others, (i forgot the names). I have stayed at Harrah's or the Rio on a weekend for $39-69 a night. Or free on certain weekends and on weekdays. Like i said before, this is great because i am not a big gambler. They always send me free show tickets and free or discounts for their restaurants.
The rooms are very nice, clean, and staff is friendly. I have never had a bad experience here.

In the value for money stakes Harrah’s is a winner due to its excellent location mid-Strip. Being a smaller property it’s not far from the lifts to the Strip and fairly easy to find your way around. It’s also handy for going further afield as there are a number of bus bays out the back where free shuttles and buses stop. There is also a tram station that takes you to MGM Grand at one end of the line and the Sahara at the other. The rooms aren’t large but they are perfectly acceptable with comfortable beds and a fully stocked bathroom. The casino has everything you would expect including a large Sportsbook. The Piano Bar has some fun late night entertainment and there is a good steakhouse.
Unique Quality: Just outside is Carnaval Court which has shops and stalls selling souvenirs and clothing plus an evening bar and live music.
I know where I would like to stay (Mandalay Bay of course), but like millons of others I go to vegas to play not to sleep so I prefer to spend my money elsewhere so i like Harrahs its on the cheap side and right smack in the middle of everything

There is a ticket booth on the south end of the strip by the Coca-Cola store that sells same day tickets. However, what is offered for the day is not announced until that day.

At Harrahs they hand out vouchers for The Mac King show. You get to see the show for the price of a drink which is $6.95 before tax. You should probably get there about an hour before the show starts.

Do not eat at Flavor buffet
Whether it's personal or a business trip, we have always ending up eating at Harrah's for your famous "Prime Rib, great selection, and friendly services" at the buffet. I have eaten many, many time at Harrah's buffet since I started traveling. On March 12, 2013, at around 8:15pm, My wife and I was eating at your Harrah's Flavor buffet, Las Vegas. My shocking and disappointment was overwhelm. As we were seated by our server, Adrian, he was very nice and courteous. After he greeted us with warm welcome and gotten our drinks, my wife and I went to grab our plates and went directly to the prime ribs. I greeted the gentleman behind the prime rib station and he didn't look at me. I assume he didn't hear me; so I repeated myself with another greeting and asking him if I can have a slice of prime rib and one for my wife also. He pick up the knife and started to carve, put it on our plate and left. I was very surprise of his service. As my wife and I walk down the buffet table, I notice the many food were old, as of looked dried; very dried. There were sauce all over the counter and dried out. I know the counter hasn't been wiped for quit sometime.
As we went back to our table, I told my wife, I just notice how thin our prime rib was. I took the napkin under our fork and knife and put it side by side; the prime rib we got was a third the thickness of our dinner napkin. Only a great chef can slice a piece meat this thin.
The first piece of the prime rib was as tough as a horse shoe. After finishing our first plate we went back for our a seconds, This time I saw them changing over to a new loaf of prime rib. As I got there, the server behind the counter had just left and was talking to two other co-workers in a form of a circle. They were loud and started to horseplay behind the counter, I then stood there for a few seconds to see if they notice me standing there at all; but they didn't. So I say, "excuse me, I like to get a slice of the rib please." They were so loud they didn't hear me. After the third time, one of them finally came over and carve me a slice (the second piece of the prime rib was as a tough as the first. Believe me, I know prime rib, I normally get six pieces before I stop).
As I was eating at the table, I told my wife this is the worst five star buffet I have ever eaten in. The people here are not friendly, the servers behind the food was too loose and playful in front of all the customers and had no regards of what customer needs or even know we were there. I told her I was going to get some ice cream and leave. As I went up to the dessert table, there were two employees talking and blocking the dessert table (one behind the counter and the other one was outside the counter). The dessert person saw me but just kept talking, I asked him if I can have a scoop of mango ice cream. The employee who was talking to the dessert person was actually sweeping the floor. He had the broom on his left hand and a dirty towel on his right. And with his right hand was leaning on the counter were my ice cream was going to be. And just before the two employees parted, they did a hi-five-potatoes over the dessert table before he scoop some ice cream.
Enough is enough, I thought I had seen everything. I went to the cashier at the entrance to asked for a "comment form." After filling out the form, giving the service an "F" and the quality of the food also an "F." I asked if I can speak to the manager. I forgot his name, but he was a tall African American gentleman whom I spoke to. And I told him besides our server Adrian, I was very disappointed regarding the rest of his food crew. He seem he knew about the situation and didn't care. No apology came out of his mouth nor at least ask me if there were anyway he or the staff could have done to improve my stay. I walk away slowly and see if he would call me back; but he didn't. If I was the buffet manager, I would have done anything to fix this problem before this going to "corporate" and to your "reviews." I believe he doesn't fit his position.
