Hilton has great comps
I stayed at the Hilton in Feb. 09 and am going back Nov. 09. They treat you well and the comps are great even though I didn't think I gambled much. The rooms are terrific. The hotel is away from the strip but that is okay as everything we need is at the hotel and the tram is cheap and handy. I usually rent a vehicle to get around but will only rent for one day this time to do the malls. I loved the Hacienda when it was operating but these things change.
As for the gambling, I just play the slots and love keno. Usually 50 cent to 1.00 bets.
If you win great, if you don't win then at least you played. Never play more than you can afford to lose. It would be a shame to travel all that way, only to sit in your room, watch t.v. and then play the pennies to get free drinks. I have been to Vegas at least 20 times flying from Canada and it has got to be the cheapest holiday. You get more bang for your buck.
