Hello, My aunt is going to Las Vegas inJune and she is determined to bring her tiny Yorkie. I haven't ever seen pets in any of the casinos. Do any of the casinos allow pets?
There are only three that I know of.
The four seasons hotel(3960 Las Vegas Blvd South) allows pets under 25 pounds. the rooms start at $240.00 US dollars
The Candlewood Suites (4034 Paradise Rd) also allows under 25 pounds, but has a $150.00 nonrefundable pet deposit.
La Quinta Las Vegas Airport Hotel (3970 Paradise Road) allows pets, no deposit, rooms start at $75.00
They all have online websites for reservations and information. The La Quinta chain of hotels is one that I can personally recommend. They are really nice rooms, spacious and clean. They usually have very friendly employees and are very helpful.
so far as taking to casinos. no. leave the dog at the hotel.
none of the 'strip' hotels allow pets. this is not the city to be bringing your pet to. and the airlines charge an arm and a leg to bring the pet also. I'd strongly reccommend leaving the yorkie home, or going somewhere more pet friendly. She cant take it into the casinos and can't leave it unattended in the hotel room (I used to be the sales mgr at the La Quinta airport)
hope this info helps
The worst thing about the casinos is all the cigarette smoke. Even if she snuck the dog in by putting it in a purse or something, it wouldn't be a healthy place for a dog to be. All the smoke in the air there is bad enough for human-sized lungs. Can't imagine what it would do to Yorkie-sized lungs!:-(
The AAA has a great book about travel with pets that lists hotels that allow them. If your aunt is a AAA member, I suggest she head over to the nearest AAA office and see if they have a copy of that book. It's been invaluable to me and my pup.
