  • The rooms are huge, nicely appointed, and very, very clean. The bathrooms are even bigger! This is not a 'comfortable' or 'friendly' place, it's just a hotel that does its job very well.

  • The rooms were very spacious, we had connecting rooms with our children. Bathrooms were spectacular.

    The MGM Grand is on the southern end of the Strip, across from the NYNY Hotel. The MGM has on display at the lion's den several lions which are supposedly descendants from the famous MGM lions seen roaring before the showing of an MGM movie. The MGM Hotel also has 2 nightlife spots, Tabu, the popular lounge, and Studio 54, the too popular and too crowded (at least for me) nightclub.)

    I enjoyed my stay at the MGM.
    They say it's the biggest hotel in the world.
    Don't let that put you off. I stayed on the 22nd floor, served by six lifts, they missed most floors and they are fast. The wait was never too long. Pity they did NOT have a fridge in the room.
    Each corridor had different decor so you will not get lost going to your room.
    Walking around the casino is another matter.

    The swimming pools are great, check-out the photos. A real nice place to relax, kids will love it !

    The MGM Grand is a city within itself, and you'll do a great deal of walking within the hotel. There isn't an exotic theme like other Vegas resorts, but the staff does a brilliant job at meeting your every need and I greatly enjoyed my 6 night stay!
    The MGM Grand is centrally located on the strip, and I took the free shuttle that runs down to Bally's to get down the strip faster. Or simply cross the skybridge directly into the New York, New York where you can jump on another free shuttle that runs the other direction.
    The MGM often has many specials, so you can find a fabulous deal if you look for it. They even sent us free night vouchers to apologize for difficulties they were having with the pools during our stay.

    The MGM Grand pool area can make you forget you are in the middle of a city! With several pools to choose from, including a river, there are many options to cool down after cruising the strip.
    Also, the lion habitat is a fun addition! How many hotels have lions living next to the casino? However, it isn't as large as they advertisements make it seem. If this is your deciding factor, you might be a bit disappointed.
