NEW YORK NEW YORK HOTEL
A great hotel just parrallel to the strip with a roller coaster streaming up and down this hotel.
Unique Quality: Try to get the higher floor as accomodation to have a fantastic view of the strip

Love the atmosphere
We loved the atmosphere at the NYNY but it was a trek to get to our room. Because of the lay out of this mini New York city, the voyage to our room was quite inconvenient and took anywhere up to 20 mins to navigate the twisting hallways.
Spent several evenings at the Nine Fine Irishman pub as it was a freindly excitable pub with great irish music.
Unique Quality: Has a roller coaster that will cause your heart to stop!

The big apple in Las Vegas
This hotel combines the most famous spots of New York with the glamour of Las Vegas. You find a skyline of 12 skyscrapers (including the Empire State Building on a scale of 1:3) surrounded with an Coney-Island-like roller coaster and models of the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge.

No Disappointments
NYNY is a fun place to stay. I had not yet been to authentic NY, so I had nothing to compare it to..... yet it still exuded true city life from steaming manholes to city sounds and smells. hmmm
If there weren't so many other hotels to experience, I can easily imagine staying at NYNY time and again.
Unique Quality: (As with all places in Vegas) NYNY offers enough that you wouldn't have to leave. The lobby/casino, pool area, roller coaster etc create a world of its own.

Busy, confusing, hectic...just like NY
Hate it....can't stand this place. The aisles are narrow, too many obstructions, and the overall noise is deafening.
I've seen far too many people dragging their luggage behind them, desperately looking for the check-in desk. Why management can't get their act together, I'll never understand.
I wouldn't stay here on a (bet). However, having said that, I'm sure many, many people will disagree. This is just my opinion.
Unique Quality: Great roller coaster on site, and the views from within this contraption are amazing. I've read many positive reviews on the quality of this amusement.

Excellent casio, tiny rooms
My favourite casino in Vegas but I was disapointed with the size of the bedroom. There were three of us staying and there was no floor space once the rollaway bed arrived and it felt cramped.
Check-in was quick but they couldn't find us a non-smoking room which we had reserved.
Booked to stay in the Monte Carlo next time. It's right next door and hopefully the rooms will be better.

A night in the big apple...
Theres a lot of good things about the New York New York Hotel and Casino. Its one of my most favorite hotels to gamble in, eat in, and stay in. I find the Hotel staff helpful, and they always treated us like we were royalty.
The Hotel offers a lot of choices of places to eat, and has all the great food New York City is known for.
The shopping was ok, but u know there is a lot better in other hotels and malls throughout Vegas. The rooms are average size, and i always like to ask for a room facing the strip. Not for your ussual reason for wanting to see the sites, but i love to watch and hear the screams of the people on the roller coaster the circles the hotel.
This was another lucky casino for me and it had a great atmosphere. One word of advice though, when u are up a couple hundred bucks, and u give your winnings to a friend to make sure that u dont gamble it away. Make sure that friend isnt a Polish girl who gives the money to u when u are drunk and u are not thinking clearly and want to put it all on black. I told her dont give it to me no matter what, maybe it was the language barrier.

Transport From Airport
Hi Can anyone tell me the easiest way of getting from the airport to the New York New York Hotel. Is it possible to arrange for a Limo to collect us?

Lots of taxis to help you, just go outside once you collect your luggage and get in line, won't take you long at all.

Agree. Simply take a taxi from the taxi stand at the airport to the New York New York Hotel Casino. They have attendants at the taxi stands that keep it well organized and relatively quick. It is a law that you, the passenger, can tell the taxi driver the route to take and in the case you should do that. Tell the taxi driver that you want to go New York New York via Swenson Avenue and Tropicana Avenue, NOT through the airport tunnel. This will save you some money.

I'm next door to the NY NY hotel right now! The cab is $11.50 and no extra charge for up to 5 people. Piece of cake!

If you choose to take 1 of the shared shuttle services, consider these points:
1) They take several people and therefore stop at multiple hotels. It could take you forever to get to yours.
2) They'll offer you a discount to prepay for your return trip. Don't do it - You may decide to take a different mode of transportation (i.e. Taxi) when you go back to the airport so your return fare will be wasted.
A cab will cost you a bit more but it is well worth it.
