SEATS IN THE PARIS HOTEL SHOWROOM

by borregos511

Has anyone sat in row CC, which is 3 rows back from the stage? Is this row TOO close to the stage. Would I leave with a sore neck at the end of the show?

Not at all. I have not been in those particular seats, but you will be just fine. You picked a good hotel and the showroom is a great one.

Any further information on Vegas...? Just let me know......d:o)

CC is a great row for Barry Manilow as long as you are center section and not on the two side CC sections. As they say, you can see the whites of his eyes. lol The orchestra sits in the back half of the stage and Barry sings right at the edge of the stage or sits at the piano which is in full view. As for a sore neck, I don't know what you are going to be doing during the concert or what physical condition you are in, to comment on that. ;-)

Thank you for your response. You said CC center section is best but that two side CC sections are not. The only 5 seats available for the date we want are in row CC but they are aisle seats on the left. The only other seats available would be row LL (2 rows forward from the back of the front orchestra section) and they are also aisle seats on the left. If you had to choose, would you pick the CC seats or the LL seats?

Re. my comment on having a sore neck, I was just wondering if the stage is high up from the front rows. Would we then be looking up at Barry's nostrils rather than seeing the whites of his eyes? LOL

Yes, Inside aisle across from center section will still be okay. As for looking up, well you will be looking up to the stage but it is not too bad. Maybe the sixth row is even to him. Have a drink and don't worry. A great evening. ;-)

When I got online to reserve the tickets, the ones for the 3rd row (Row CC) were no longer available. I ended up getting "best available", which are in Row EE (5 rows back). I'm thinking (hoping) the view may be even better, although father back, because the seats are further into the center. I reserved 4 tickets -- we have seats 41-38. Seat 47 is the aisle seat, so we're about 7 seats in towards the center of our row. I'm so looking forward to the show.

Travel Tips for Las Vegas

These boots are made for walking.....you hope!

by crazygal59

Main tip for Vegas is wear comfy shoes. We spent so much time walking from hotel to hotel, we were glad we had good shoes on. All that walking on concrete takes it's toll on the feet. Also drink lots of water. You feel like you are shriveling up with dryness if you don't. This is a city like New York. You don't come here to sleep. It's a city with great energy and vibe. I love the excitement of Las Vegas, but I can't take more than 4 days.

The people

by RandomLion

My favorite thing about Vegas is that you can get anything you want or need any time of day -- mostly everything is open 24 hours. The people -- are generally friendly but if someone looks shadey or seems overly friendly then use your head. There are a lot of con men and thugs out here but if you are smart about it you will be left alone. Ladies don't off the Strip without an escort.

Check out the Strip!! Some may think the Strip is too commercial or too crowded, but it certainly a part of Vegas that should be seen. Many of the new hotels are spectacular with so many things to offer - from shows, gourmet restaurants (not just cheap buffets), and some of the best night clubs around. The ever present sound of slot machines....

Always remember to push the 'CASH OUT' button, you may have credits remaining that you're unaware of. Don't leave your hard earned winnings for someone else. the music the slot machine plays while you wait for the slot attendant to give you your win.

Mandalay Bay Resort

3950 S. Las Vegas Blvd.
Las Vegas, NV 89119
(702) 632-7777
(877) 632-7000
A lush, 11-acre tropical water environment comprised of a sand-and-surf beach, a lazy river, a variety of pools and a jogging track provides a remarkable recreation and relaxation experience. The ultimate in pampering can be found at Spa Mandalay. Word of warning-guests of this hotel are the only ones allowed to enter this beach :-( but if you go up the 2nd level, mall area, you will be able to atleast see the layout and the mile-lazy river.
Their Buffet on the Main Floor is the best money can offer! The food is so authentic, so gourmet and varied. If you go there around 3:30 pm you can take advantage of the lunch price and get the supper menu :-) since this is when they do that switch. Bon Appetit!
A House of Blues live music venue and restaurant are located just off the casino floor.
This legendary name in the music industry also manages an International House of Blues Foundation Room on the top floor (43rd) of Mandalay Bay.
