Rio Pizazz

Okay, so I like the Rio a lot. I know that there are a lot of cons going against it (off the strip location, older hotel, needs to be renovated, etct.) but there are also a lot of good things about it, too.

Unique Quality: Good things about the Rio: the outstanding size of the rooms, the huge floor to ceiling windows in the rooms (extra points if you have a stirp view), the great seafood buffet, the awseome views from the nightclub on the roof, and the pleasantness of the staff. Once during Christmas I stayed at the Rio for only $25 per night. Even the staff at the hotel couldn't believe I had found that price. Expedia all the way, baby!

All of the resort hotels are...

All of the resort hotels are fabulous! Each has their own theme and are unique and wonderful! We stayed at the Rio!

Unique Quality: Spectacular views of the Las Vegas Strip and surrounding mountains! Club Rio is a concert size hip hop dance club that rocks until 4am! And the Voodoo Lounge at the very top of the Rio at the 51st floor, has an outdoor bar/observation deck with the starry sky above and spectacular views of nightime Las Vegas! Wooohooo! But right now, we just checked into our hotel and want to go down to the pool, so join me at poolside at the Rio!

My personal favorite is The Rio Hotel and Casino. It's A luxury hotes with nothing but sweets. The standard room is like A small luxury apartment and prices begin at about $160.00 per night. If you got the cash it's definetly worth it. It's A pretty classy hotel with wonderful restaurants and nightly clubs and entertainment. By the way, if you like to play live poker, although the Rio doesn't have live games, The Orleans Casino is only A five (5) minute cab ride away. It is one of the worlds best poker rooms according to Poker digest.

Unique Quality: The Rio has excellent pools, and the rooms have breathtaking views.

Rio Hotel and Casino

Rio Hotel and Casino
$139-$329. Room rates can fluctuate widely and change without notice.

Unique Quality: The Rio offers 2,700 all suite rooms which gives the luxury of more space. Each room has a couch, table with chairs, drip coffee maker, hair dryer, in-suite refrigerator, iron, ironing board and complimentary in-suite safe. Guest room showers feature a 'window,' making it possible to watch television while in the shower. The Wine Cellar and Tasting Room offers the world's largest publicly displayed collection of fine and rare wines. The VooDoo Lounge, set 51 stories high, offers a breathtaking view of Las Vegas. The pool has a sand beach. I stayed on the 26th floor of this hotel and had a spectacular panoramic view of the strip.
I had a great time at the Show in the Sky down in the Masquerade Village. This hotel offers incredible dining, especially Buzio's Seafood restaurant. For the gamblers: 75,000 sq. ft. Casino games include Blackjack, Caribbean Stud Poker, Craps, Keno, Let It Ride, Pai Gow Poker, Poker, Roulette, Sportsbook, Slots, Mini-Baccarat, and Megabucks.

The Rio does not have shuttle service to/from the airport but does have shuttle service to/from the strip.

The Rio is a really great location. It's an ALL SUITE hotel. Prices are usually very reasonable (unless there's a big event in town).

Unique Quality: All Suite Hotel, the B E S T buffet in town.

The Rio

Unique Quality: Nice, large rooms. Great pool. Fun casino (don't miss the Masquerade show in the sky). The last time I went they still had the 'Treasures of Russia' exhibit. Very nice.
This hotel is always hopping, so if you're looking for a quiet place to gamble, look elsewhere. Somewhat pricey for an off strip property, but you can usually get deals.

Rio Hotel

Unique Quality: The Rio is definitely the coolest casino catering to Las Vegas locals. Every room has one wall that is entirely made of glass overlooking the city. Be sure to go to the Voo Doo lounge on the roof to see a unique view of the strip. If you go before 9:00 pm you won't have to pay the cover charge.

The Rio hotel, just off the...

The Rio hotel, just off the strip, gives you plenty of luxury, without spending a fortune. All rooms are suites with double beds being classed as single's. Excellent service, excellent food and a great cocktail bar !!

Unique Quality: This hotel has a lovely pool, with an unusual feature of water sprays dotted around the pool area, that constantly sprays a fine mist into the air, keeping you cool in the heat of Las Vegas.

Rio Suites-will it suit me ?

by ciare

I'm going to LV in November on my own, for about 10 days.

I am spending three nights at the Golden Nugget.

I have been to LV last year, so wish to stay in a an off strip hotel, with a good shuttle service to the strip.

As I'll be by myself, I will be spending quite a lot of time in my room, so prefer a suite, to just a room, with a fridge(if possible)

I've been looking at The Rio all suites, and it looks nice, but is it near to food places, shops etc, as I don't want to be eating in the hotel all the time, in the evening.

Also is it near to The Orleans?

there are free shuttles to/from the Rio to the strip. It's also within walking distance if you want to exercise off all the buffet-all-you-can-eat food.

Has suites - small ones it would seem. I originally booked there but changed my plans later. The rooms are more like a small suite but do have a small kitchen. I have no idea what it is like but the thing that put me off was an admittedly old warning in a Frommer's guide frp, 2001 about danger in the area northeast of it. Perhaps a resident who posts in this forum could help.

I work here in Las Vegas as a VIP host for ValetNoir. RIo is one of many hotels we work with. If you are the type that gambles then I am able to get you many choices in other hotels if you are not pleased with the Rio. I also help people get show tickets, dining reservations, and access to nightclubs. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions. have a good day.

I am trying to make sure people are taken care of as they should be. I am new to this website and was just looking through all of the messages. I understand that most people on this message board are not located here in Las Vegas. If they want assistance or have questions then I do not mind answering them. I am not trying to take advantage of anybody if that is what people are suggesting. You don't have to email me if you want. You can keep it public if you want by staying on the message boards.
