stay away from this hotel!!!

Terrible (1.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on October 8, 2008

The Buffet has a leaky roof! There was water dripping in from the ceiling when I was there. The manager(Kevin) didn't think it was a critical violation. Water was dripping next to our table, and in the walkway. I'm sure many people had water drip into their food. The waitress said "it rained last night. it's leaking". I suggested that the water was running through the tar and pigeon droppings on the roof. "Oh! I never thought of that".

Unique Quality: It really is "Terrible"

Very Good Value for Money

Me and five friends drovep from LA to LV, we were not quite sure what to expect of our accomodation. We knew that is was going to be a low budget hotel but did not expect the standards to be quite so good for the price we paid.

I was told about the place from somebody I spoke with online and thought it loked reasonbale (they have a website).

The rooms were very clean and all the facilities you would require, it was just off the strip so it was a nice walk and much quieter.

There is two restaurants with good food and good service at a reasonable price. If you are not looking for luxury but purely good value for money it is highly recommended.

Let me know if anybody goes, I am sure you will be impressed.

John

Unique Quality: The Outdoor heated pool and Jacuzzi, what a treat, it is not the kind of luxury you think you would get when you are travelling on a budget!

The food was superb, plenty of it, in nice surroundings and again very rerasonable prices.

A good ten minute walk from the strip, so pretty central really!

Directions: Ten minutes off the strip.

Better than it's name

I was very pleased at this inexpensive hotel called the Terrible. It's MUCH better than it's name, at the time, we only paid $35 a night/ book early as it fills up FAST. It has a little casino inside- by looking at this, I wondered oh gosh... what will the room look like, as the casino is NOT fancy, very small... but I was VERY pleased with the rooms, nice size, all accommodations you need, we had 2 queen size bed, cable TV, etc. very elegant room I must say , esp. to be so cheep! They have internet use, but we walked a few blocks away to use the library for 2 hours a day. You can get free "temp" library card for your stay. They have 2 buffets inside the hotel. The food is "okay" very cheep, like $7-$10 for all you can eat. The breakfast buffet was REALLY GOOD!! Lunch and dinner, ate-able/ it was "ok" The people there are VERY friendly. I don't gamble, but for those who do, you get points and can use them for free buffet or even free 1 day room stay. They have great deals all the time. And are on the bus line if you want to use instead of taxi service. It's much cheaper and can get you to the strip in minutes.

Unique Quality: great view of pool from room, and nice palm trees.

Not as terrible as the name suggests

We stayed two day there and, although it is not a fancy hotel and some minutes walk away from the strip, we were very satisfied. The rooms are clean and reasonably equipped. The pool area was nice and we were nearly the only users of it - because the rest of the visitors seemed to be fond of getting rid of their money at the slot-machines.

We asked at the Las Vegas visitor center for hotel recommendations and they gave us a coupon for this hotel. This entiteled us to have a second night for free if we booked the first night for 39 $ the room.

Unique Quality: They serve a really good breakfast buffet where you find all kind of food.

Directions: At the corner of Paradise Road and Flamingo Road
