A naval battle in the desert???
This hotel is well known for it performance of a battle between a ship of sirens and a ship of pirates.
This spectacular event is performed several times per night and the spectators stand in between the two ships. So you are right in the middle of the action.
During the battle a canon-ball causes a fire and hot flames. For this reason the performance cannot take place if the wind is too strong.
Directions: At the Strip - north of the Hotel Mirage
Great deals can be found here
Living in the lap of luxury. If you so much as break a nail, you can get a repair at the hotel. They accomodate all ages and even have wheelchairs and scooters for rent for the disabled.
Don't forget to sign up for the slot club, it will stand you in good stead for further discounts and deals for rooms in the future.
Unique Quality: Quiet, comfortable rooms. A great place to get away from it all for a few minutes. Great location on the strip.
Hint, for best rates, check the hotel website and book ahead, You can stay for as little as $49 a night.
Directions: At about Sands and the strip.
A real Treasure....(sorry, lame title...)
Now, this place definately makes you feel like you are living large!!! The lobby/casino area alone makes you feel like they should be rolling out the red carpet for you and taking pics!
The pirate show outside is amazing, and even though it happens hourly, the spectators still crowd around to see the sight...one thing though, keep an eye on your stuff when you are watching, the pick pocketers happen to be experts in this particular area...won't see it coming!!!
Las Vegas Treasure!
I loved this hotel! Several years ago when I was in Vegas it was run down but they have done some fixing up and this hotel was a lot of fun! The new outdoor Pirate show is very cool and for hotel guests there is premier seating. Hundreds of people fill the streets and sidewalks to see this free outdoor show.
Unique Quality: Nice rooms, monorail to The Mirage (another great hotel!), free outdoor show, pool was just redone, good restaurants. Good location.
Directions: On the strip near downtown.
Nice place to stay at but we went through 18... YES 18 keys for our room. The lock on our door and their computer system kept on screwing up so needless to say, we were a little fed up with the joint by the end of our adventure.
All in all, nice, but wouldn't go back. Not worth the money, rather stay somewhere else.
I really enjoyed my stay at Treasure Island. I rented a car between moving there from Barbary Coast , and it was easy to park though I didn't take advantage of valet parking.
Unique Quality: The room was very nice, a little more plush than Barbary Coast, but I honestly can't remember spending much time in it.
The casino was better to me than I expected, as I'd always heard how "tight" it was, but I had good luck (relatively speaking) when I varied from my usual video poker to play a silly nickel slot machine called something like Alien Family Reunion.
The breakfast buffet did not measure up to the buffets at many hotels in either selection or quality, it was more like a cafeteria setup, but as I like milk, coffee AND juice w/ my breakfast, buffets are usually less expensive than buying all my drinks at a regular restaurants.
I saw Mystere at Treasure Island while I was staying, and it was spectacular. It will go under my "must see if you feel like splurging" tips.
Since I stayed there Treasure Island has changed its name to "TI", supposedly more adult, and the free pirate battle is now sexier "Sirens of TI". I forgot to take a photo of the neat pirate town facade when I stayed there, as it is probably now gone. The wind was blowing too hard to hold the pirate battle.
Directions: Just north of Mirage on Las Vegas Strip.
great room, great location
check-in and check-out experiences were both speedy, pleasant and met with friendly service.
spa/massage service is highly recommended. staff was friendly and massage was heavenly.
Unique Quality: room was nicer than i expected. the colors were neutral, earth tones; the bathroom was fabulous -- the mirror never fogged and the bathtub was deep with armrests (one of the best bathtubs i've ever bathe in).
Directions: situated in a prime strip location -- across from the venetian (and its shops) and walking distance to caesar's palace, bellagio, paris, mirage...
Not really worth it
We stayed here because of my brother's fascination with Pirates. It wasn't anything special.
Our room was really tiny and looked out over an ugly wall/roof. My parents' room was supposed to be non-smoking but reeked. We guessed the maid was probably just smoking in there but we requested a room switch anyway.
The staff was a little difficult, too, esp. about the room switch.
I wouldn't stay there again.
Unique Quality: The art direction was lots of fun, and the tram is convenient to get further down the Strip. Also you're across from the Venetian which is a fun place to visit.
The Pirate Battle is of course a must-see. Just don't stay in the hotel!
Directions: Next to Mirage and across from Venetian.
From the plunder-adorned lobby to the beautifully appointed guestrooms and suites, Treasure Island is a haven for discriminating pirates.
Unique Quality: The excitement begins the moment you cross the long wooden bridge that traverses the waters of Buccaneer Bay. But, watch out for the cross fire when the explosive sea battle between the British frigate HMS Britannia and the pirate ship, Hispaniola, takes place, several times each afternoon and evening. Inside is where the decadent pleasure and tasteful indulgences of the pirate's life are yours.

The last time we were there in 2000 we had a suite it ran us a little over $200.00 a night. The room was WONDERFUL!
Unique Quality: We had a great view of the strip and of the Buccaneer Bay Sea Battle. The service was great!
The only downfall, if you drive into Vegas the parking ramp is a little bit of walk to the front desk so drop off your bags first.
Treasure Island Hotel & Casino...
Treasure Island Hotel & Casino at the Mirage
$59 (low season mid-week) and up. Like all hotels in Vegas, it depends on the season, day or the week and big events that are going on in town.
Unique Quality: I really like the decor of this hotel. Its the home of Cirque du Soleil's Mystere- one of the most amazing shows I've ever been (see activities). Also, Treasure Island has its own Day Spa and Salon for those who enjoy massage and salon treatments.
Unique Quality: At Treasure Island, each of the 2,891 guest rooms and suites has floor-to-ceiling glass with breathtaking views of picturesque mountains, the tropical pool, Buccaneer Bay Village or the famed Las Vegas Strip!
Decorated in soft earth tones, each guest room conveys an elegant yet warm feeling, featuring European fabrics uniquely designed and manufactured for Treasure Island.
Average room rates: $60-$360. Room rates can fluctuate widely and change without notice.
Directions: We stayed at the TREASURE ISLAND at the Mirage
Treasure Island in Las Vegas, is the sister property of The Mirage. Treasure Island is one of the premier hotel and casino resorts on the Las Vegas Stri
Treasure Island Hotel.
Don't really remember the price but it sure was very expensive. Treat yourself to this luxury, you won't regret it.
Unique Quality: It is a very big hotel, like all the ones there. Many restaurants, shops, show, pool and ofcourse gambling. Best thing was their pirates show. It takes place late afternoon and evening. Two big ships will fight each other. Very spectacular to watch, go see it in the evening. It is just amazing to see. See above for a pic of the hotel.
Seek thy treasure!
TREASURE ISLAND: 2900 rooms.
Opened in Oct. 1993 & costs more than US$420m to built. Another great resort of Steve Wynn.
Unique Quality: The two most talked about nightly shows are here. First, the Pirate Battle at Treasure Island in front of the hotel, you can't miss the pirate ship as soon as you are at Treasure Island, and second, 'MYSTERE', another great production of CIRQUE DU SOLEIL!
Directions: Next to the Mirage and across from the Venetian (one of the latest new additions).
THE MIRAGE: 3049 rooms. Opened in Nov. 1989.
Unique Quality: Major draw of this resort is its engagements of the world famous and popular illusionists SIEGFRIED & ROY. The 1500-seat theather built specially to showcase the incredible talents of these 2 brothers is packed every night & 600,000 people see the show annually!

Treasure Island Hotel amenities
We stayed at Treasure Island Hotel in Las Vegas Nevada. It was a wonderful experience. I was not allergic to the shampoo or conditioner. Does anyone know what product they used? I would like to buy that brand because I am not allergic to the fragrance.

Suggestion, why don't you contact customer relations at the hotel?
RE: RE: Treasure Island Hotel amenities
I tried to find a contact on the website but all I got was how to reserve a room. I could not find a contact number or email. I will go back to the site and look again.
