    • The Virgin River Hotel and Casino
    The prices are $25.99US. Reservations recommended, but not always necessary. The $25.99 price is only good Sunday-Thrusday and not on holiday nights. I'm not sure what the weekend prices are. I would guess around $75US

    It is located in a small town 80 miles (130km) north of Las Vegas. The casinos and buffets are every bit as good as Las Vegas, but there is NO traffic or congestion.

    • We should have know what was happening when it took the valet 10 minutes to finally arrive at our car. Upon check in, they gave us a room, not the one we made reservations for, the room had not been cleaned and smelled. No high speed internet in the rooms, the town is only casinos. Food is ok at best, buffett is a joke, same food for 2 days. The steak house was good, but way over price for the quality and where they are at. This is not Vegas, don't charge Vegas prices. Most of the staff seemed to only speak spanish or just played that they did. Golf course is good, but not as good as it was 3 years ago. The Oasis spa is much better and cleaner. Bring what you need with you as they roll up the side walk in town at 6pm...

    • I was not planning on staying here, but am glad I did. The Quality to Value is great. The resort has everything you need. It has a pool area that is better than most Vegas hotels. I would stay here again no problem. If you need a relaxing getaway to a place that has everything Vegas has without the craziness, then give this place a try. You won't be disappointed

    • I wouldn't recommend this hotel to any traveler. As someone who travels regularly from California to Colorado I would continue to St. George, Utah heading east or drive to Las Vegas, Nevada if heading west. I booked a room the day before with a confirmation then arrived to a cancelled room. Not only did they cancel it without notifying us (we provided an email address and 2 cell numbers) they also were unapologetic and completely ignored me when asked about what I was supposed to do and where I was supposed to stay. Other guests told me the front desk was lying because they arrived immediately before me and had no problem checking in. I find that to be utterly strange and would like the management to investigate their policy. Service was terrible. A sign that said "closed" would've been more effective than the person standing there blatantly ignoring me. I will never attempt to go there again.

    • We stayed two nights in the past week, on the way down to LA and on the way back. The first night one of the lights wasn't working so I called housekeeping. They had someone there in 5 min. I was impressed. Both beds were comfie, the place was clean and the shower was good. Some hotels have crappy showers and I hate that as much as a bad bed.

    We went to the buffet and it was really good!! They had homemade tamales and fresh grilled carne asada. The Seviche was to die for too. No beans tho, I missed the beans.

    The second night we stayed one of the beds in our room was really bad! Very uncomfortable. This night we were there in time to go swimming before dinner, one of the pools was closed but the other one was big and not very crowded so that was real nice. We went back to the buffet, they had prime rib and king crab that night. It was all really delicious and there were piles of crab. The one thing missing was lemon butter, it's downright uncivilized I tell ya.

    All in all - a hell of a good value for $27.50 a night!

    Casino - Bingo - we aren't gamblers but it looked like folks were having fun.

    Pools (2) - Hot tubs (3) - I think the pool was unheated. It was a bit chilly but in a month when it's super hot down there I'm sure it will be better.

    Lounge - good live music both nights. Right across from the buffet to so you can enjoy the music while you eat.

    Buffet - a really good variety of salads and hot dishes. Fresh and tasty.
