Ramblin, Gamblin
"Another "mecca" visited"
Loving all things Vegas, I also enjoy the opportunity to visit some of the other areas of the country that have a number of casinos. In Nevada, some of those include Reno and Laughlin, two cities I spent a while in, and other cities like Primm and here in Mesquite...where really I just check it out and move on.
Having spent a morning in the Valley of Fire, I cruised here to check out the action and grab a bite to eat.
The casino hopping didn't take me too long. I started at Eureka, which seemed to be the nicest of the three casinos in town. Lots of affordable table games were there, but I just wasn't in the mood. I hit Virgin River, which is across the street, for lunch and wrapped up with a visit to Casablanca.
I can't imagine spending more than a few hours here. For me, the allure of the gambling resorts is time spent at the casinos, supplemented with other activities. I think the cheap gaming is great, but I don't know if I could pass the rest of my time.
