What is there to do?
I will be visiting for a week while my husband golfs and I wondered what is there to do? I have a 5 month old baby so not really looking to hang out in casinos, if you have any suggestions I would surely appreciate it.

Go see the Tutenkhamen exhibit at the dallas museum of art. Location is 1717 North Harwood Street Dallas, TX 75201,
cost is 32.50 and worth every penny!
It's a short drive from Mesquite.

Susan, I think the poster meant Mesquite, Nevada...at least that's the forum she posted in, and there aren't any casinos in Mesquite, Texas...

Since it's in NEVADA, go to this website and you'll find all kinds of things to do. Sorry about the mistake.

I thought Dallas, too (since Mesquite is only a few miles away, why not), but the remark about casinos made me wonder, and since I have posted in reply to the wrong city before, I have learned to check the location the hard way ;-)

Of course, it also happens that the original poster posts in the wrong forum, so we get to watch for that, too ;-) but with the nearest casino to Mesquite being 70 or so miles away (in Oklahoma), I'm guessing that Nevada is what she meant...

You will be VERY bored for a whole week in Mesquite. It took me 5 hours

It was in the US forum that I found it, so the mistake was easily made. Plus, I know NOTHING about casinos. Mesquite Texas could have one for all I know.
