Extended Stay: Clean, safe, quiet - and good value
High recommendation to Extended Stay America motel in South suburban Reno.
I stayed there three nights recently.
For quiet, clean, comfortable, safe and economical accommodation this is my first choice. No pool, no spa, no valet parking, no little bottles of shampoo in the bathroom. Just the essentials for a comfortable stay. Even a guest laundry room on the first floor - was spotless.
I arrived early morning after all night drive from Las Vegas. Asked if any room available for early check-in. Front desk clerk helpful and polite - quickly found available room.
Only $49/night, including weekends. Location is South suburban Reno, Gateway Drive off South Meadows - quick/easy freeway access to 395.
One warning: They don't guarantee non-smoking rooms. Arrive early in the day if you want non-smoking.
Unique Quality: The opposite experience of a casino hotel. This was like having my own studio apartment. Each room has small but complete kitchen - fridge, stove, microwave, dishes, glasses, utensils. Small eating table w/chairs. Comfy recliner chair. Desk with good reading light and computer modem outlet.
