Fitzgeralds Hotel & Casino

Want a cheap place in the right place.

I got this place via an online website.

I knew it was in the middle of the map. I didn't realise how perfect it was though until I got there. In terms of position this is where you want to be. Right where the Reno sign is.

I stayed 3 nights. The first night I just went around Reno. The 2nd was on a day tour out of Reno.
And the 3rd found me walking further afield just to keep interest.

The Hotel is old. The other hotels are better quality and have been refurbished. But you get what you pay for.

The stay here was quite acceptable.

The room was clean. Had a decent bed, and didn't smell of smoke. But if you went to a smoking floor you definitely knew it.

Being an older place the layout is a bit odd.

Unique Quality: Reno is nothing more than a cluster of 5 or so Casinos in the centre. Outside of that you've got nothing of interest really.

They have a free giveaway for guests. Go just to get your free souvineer.

Their buffet is not the best. But again you get what you pay for. Not bad for about $15 US.

What was good was their little restaurant outside of that. They had a special Prime Rib roast dinner. That tasted good. I preferred this experience over the buffet.

I got a special room rate through the web. It was about $40 plus taxes.
