Harvey's Lake Tahoe: Wonderful Hotel in a Beautiful area

The room I had in the lake tower was huge! Please see pics. It was the size of a suite. The bathroom was three separate rooms in itself, 4 counting the closet. Plenty of elbow room! The views were outrageous. I had a combo lake/mountains view room for 4 nights.

The room service menu is extensive and the prices moderate. You can use your casino points to pay the bill too.

All the staff are friendly, professional and courteous, as other Harrah's properties. Harrah's gets the best out of its people. They must have excellent training standards.

There is a Cabo Wabo Cantina and Hard Rock Cafe on site, plus 6 other restaurants. Plenty of choices.

Hertz rental cars are on site and Avis is across the street at Embassey Suites. Renting a car is a good idea. Drive around the lake, or down to Carson City and Virginia City and see the sites.

Very large and roomy feel, excellent decor kept very clean. All services performed quickly and efficiently.

Harvey's Lake Tahoe: Quiet rooms, lush beds :)

Harvey's is a staple in the Lake Tahoe area ...... but is now owned by Harrah's coporation which also owns the casino/hotel across the street! There is a tunnel between the two hotels that passes beneath the street and has a dance club called Cabo Wabo smack dab in the middle .... so you can stop off for a drink as you wander between the two places :)

The casino is a typical casino and easy to get a little turned around in. There's a Hard Rock Cafe, several restaurants, and the usual amenities. But even our simple room on the 9th floor had an amazing view of the lake .......

The views, and the beds make this place stand out in my mind. The linens were soft, exceptionally clean, and so comfy I would drop off within minutes of tucking myself in :) As a matter of fact, all four of us in this room had a hard time getting out of bed as it just enveloped us in relaxation ... since we spent so much time lounging in bed whenever we entered out room, I never got around to snapping a picture ..... so sorry :)

Rent a cabin either in the mountains or down by the lake. The cabins in the mountains have a lot of steps, so you better be in good shape. The altitude will get you as well.

Cabin in the mountains. The views of the lake and its surroundings are beautiful. The trees are breath taking. Here is the view from the balcony.
