We travel in an RV, and we stayed in the Reno / Verdi area for about 3 weeks. Probably 10 days of this was at Boomtown. They have a very nice RV park with full hookups and will comp you for your play, just like they would a hotel room.
The casino is clean, and carries out their theme well. The staff is friendly and dealers are usually competent. Restaurants are OK.
We liked the regular buffet (but not the Steak and Lobster buffet, quality wasn't there for either steak or lobster).
The coffee shop (Cantina) was good food, their mexican menu was good, wine and other drinks were good and inexpensive (although we were comped).
We especially enjoyed their video poker, both 25cent and Dollar progressives in Full Pay 8/5 bonus and 9/6 JOB. I hit one on the quarters for $1700+ and Chris hit two, one for $1000, and the other was for $1900+. Not bad for quarters! Also a nice live poker room with 1-5 Texas Hold'em and 3 tournaments a week.
Unique Quality: Good food at reasonable prices. They will comp you meals for play on quarter machines. Excellent video poker.

This Hotel is actually a combination hotel/truckstop/casino. It is very good with customer service. The rooms are simple and clean. You can usually get a good deal if you go to the web site.
Unique Quality: There is an indoor pool which I have never used and a game room for the kids. The whole place is done up in a western motiff but the rooms are not. a great gift shop can be found just off of the Casino. Lots of cool thing for those of you who like to shop like me.
