Wyndham South Shore: Hidden among the trees.
The South Beach Wyndham resort we stayed at was so quiet other then the obviously noisy guest going to and from their vehicles, but it was nestled among the enormous pine trees. It was clean, lovely decor. We had a full kitchen, fireplace, living room, washer/dryer, two baths and two bedrooms. We were very happy and comfortable with the accomodations.
Just down the road is Nevada Beach Campground, which offers shaded picnic area complete with picnic tables and barbeques not far from a boat launch. The campground is nicely shaded, plus sufficient area for RV’s. A grocery store was just down the street along with some restaurants. A Catholic church was right next door to the resort which gave the place a sense of serenity.
Please note: September 1 through mid-December 2009, this resort will be updating its units for your future enjoyment. Units adjacent to the construction can expect some noise during the daytime hours and several parking spaces used for staging will be unavailable. Thank you for your patience.
Supermarket across the street; lots of shopping/dining 1.5 miles away.
One parking spot per unit; occasional road closings in winter, chains required.
No views of the lake from resort.
