Go to the beach, go water skiing on Lake Tahoe, and drink on the beach. You're allowed to drink on the beach in Nevada (unlike the California side of Tahoe). I was drunk half the time I lived there, but it is like living in a postcard. Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!
Zephyr Cove Resort Marina is a very lively community with a mile of sandy beaches, which offers a shaded picnic areas complete with picnic tables and barbeques just down from another boat launch. The campground and RV park is right across the street and a traffic signal is placed here to help those cross safely to the marina activities and the restaurant. This area caters to the touristy part of the lake, since this is where the M.S. Dixie Paddleboat launches for the wonderful lake cruise, which was fantastic by the way, and this is where you can charter for parasailing, sport-fish, jet skis, paddle boats and anything motorized for rent. The sandy beach here offers a beach bar and sand volleyball. Among other activities, visitors can also horseback ride.
Zephyr Cove is the name of the little area I live in. The only notible thing in all of Zephyr Cove is Zephyr Cove Beach. It's a big tourist spot being the dock of the M.S. Dixie, a big paddle wheel ship that goes for cruises all over the lake. Zephyr Cove lodge is pretty nice and has a good little dinner type restaurant. I live about a block from the beach. There's a nice little spot that no one goes to or knows about so I can go there whenever I want and expect to be alone. There's not too much to do around here for a local kid. I suppose there's actually a ton of things to do, they just get old fast or I'm boring.
Next year I'll probably be living in Reno and going to college there. It's about an 1-1.5 hours away.
Zephyr Cove is the beach located on Lake Tahoe. It is a great place to go to meet new people and have a few cocktails. Depending on the weather you will need sunscreen or even an extra towel to keep warm. When I was there it was chilly.
