Henniker Motel...
those three guys are from Costa Rica, and were co-workers of me... we four had stayed in the motel since it is the closest accomodation which is located in 5-min (or can be less)-walk distance from Pats Peak...
i'm not pretty sure, 'cause i, as an international employee at Pats Peak, paid different rate... promise i'll check out the exact price sooner or later...
probably, though, for single room, less than $30. per night...

this motel has indoor swimming pool so that you can enjoy skiing or snowboarding during daytime, and swimming when you get back to the motel... above all, the hostess, Julie is such a lovely, sweet old lady... i absolutely miss her...

Tuckermans ravine lodge. a...

Tuckermans ravine lodge. a realitlvely easy 4 mile hike from the pinkham notch visitors center at the base of mount washington. last time i stopped by ther was a 7$ p.person p.night fee for a spot in one of the many openfaced outbuildings. also makes a swell base camp for a (well planned, full day) trek a few more miles to the summit and back. Or for those on high budget hike you may want to visit the AMC's hut at lake in the clouds, not far from the summit on the high medows of the presidential range. (check for reservations) but i do belive they serve hot meals there as well as in the caffeteria at the summit of washington. Oh, btw, There is a Cog railway which makes seasonal trips many times a day and is worth checking out.

In the White Mountins . At the foot of Mt Washington is the Mt Washington Hotel . It has 200 guest rooms and was 1st opened in 1902 . It is airconditioned in the summer and heated in the winter . Indoor / outdoors pools . Golf & tennis with pros to help your game , horseback riding and alot more . But it's the view of Mt Washington that's the draw you'll never
forget it !
There are many types of good lodging all over NH .
We're a tourist state . The lakes region , Hampton Beach and the Mountins have thousands of combined rooms I'd call the chamber of commerce of the town I planned to visit or the tourist center in Concord , NH
Rooms start at Approx $200 that includes meals I think
they go up over $2000 . More affordable motel across the street .

Mount Washington Resort Hotel: Mount Washington Resort Hotel

This hotel was built in the 1880's and recently restored to its former grandure. It has all the necessary amenities -- swimming pool, tennis courts, golf course, horseback riding -- plus an elegant lobby and a huge verandah with spectacular views of Mount Washinton where you can take your afternoon tea, if so inclined, or sip your evening cocktails while waiting for seating in the grand dining room. The rooms are huge with high ceilings and windows that open to the fresh mountain air. Be sure to ask for one with a view of the Presidential mountain range.

The Inn at East Hill Farm: The Inn at East Hill Farm

Depending on the season, the rate would probably be around $100.00 U.S. per night, meals included, plus all the use of the facilities.

Small in size but large enough to have a great time. They have three pools, a large dining room, basketball court, two whirlpools, game room, tennis court, play area for the kids, farm animals, volleyball, and too many other things to mention.

Three Chimneys Inn: Three Chimneys Inn

Price range: $139 to $189

This important historic site was the first house in the first settlement on the backwaters of the Great Bay. It was the site of numberous Indian attacks, and the landing upon which the Inn is situated, was the site for shipbuilding and the lumber trade in Colonial Times. Munitions were stored in the Homestead during the Revolutionary War.

The Mount Washington: The Mount Washington

This is a gorgeous hotel situated right by Mount Washington. I didn't stay here but it just looked amazing. In fact, the phrase that came to mind when I first caught a glimpse of it was 'holy sh*t' It was sparkling in the afternoon sun and just looked unbelievable.

Apple Hill Campground: Apple Hill Campground

The price for a tent site was $18 US a night.

A family run campground with spacious wooded tent and trailer sites. The tents are in a separate area from the trailers. Each site has a fire pit and the hot showers were free! Ice and firewood is available at the office/general store. It's conveniently located for access to both Franconia Notch and Crawford Notch.

Bay Top Motel: Bay Top Motel

I stayed two nights, just one person, midweek for $79 per night.

This place is family owned, and like family is how you're treated. I had a nice chat with the owner, George, and he is very freindly. Their rooms are always very clean, the rates reasonable, and their grounds well kept. They are also up on a little hill, which is nice. They recently added a jacuzzi, and this year, a nice gazebo to sit in, as if I allready didn't have enough reasons to come back!

Parkers Motel: Parkers Motel

My late June stay cost only $45 USD, if I remember right. Real cheap, real good.

This place has a *huge* selection of room types. It takes forever to decide what you want! Also, their landscape is incredible, complete with fountian set with a mountian view backdrop. Worth a visit!

We stayed at The Stonehurst...

We stayed at The Stonehurst Manor ----I give it 4 Stars!! Absolutely lovely setting in North Conway --- old world elegance -- a lovely manor from days gone by with beautiful woodwork and stonework, charming dining rooms, etc. Fantastic view!!! outdoor pool and hot tub. this manor would be a wonderful place to stay 4 or 5 days to just relax ---
has a very quiet, tranquil atmosphere.
They have a package plan where your breakfast and dinner are included in the cost of
a night's stay. the food is beyond belief -- wonderful prime rib, seafoods, duck, etc
The cost is very very reasonable.
This was a very lucky find for us and the highlight of our lodging all through New England.
My room was $87 a night and included full breakfast served in the elegant garden dining room, and full supper each night.

The Post & Beam Bed and...

The Post & Beam Bed and Breakfast in Sullivan near Keene
60 US dollars for a double room

The owners and managers of this B&B once visited the UK and stayed in several B&Bs during their holidays. They seem to have taken every wonderful idea from every B&B they visited and brought them all together here. The quality of the food, the little details (like baskets filled with essentials you might have forgotten) and the friendliness of the owners makes for a wonderful stay. Oh and there're the pets and the spa too!

Franconia Notch State Park: Camping in the White Mountains

We stayed in Franconia Notch State Park, at Lafayette Campground. The sites are pretty small, but they are really close to all the hiking trails and have very clean bathroom facilities (although you have to pay $0.50 for a shower.)

The views were spectacular when the cloud cover cleared. They pick up the garbage from your site (nice!). There was a cute chipmunk that came to visit and there was many other animals that we saw in the area. Reservations were made online - super easy!
