$79 USD was what i paid in late July. When I stayed at Bay Top last February, the rate was $55 USD
Bay Top Motel is set back a ways from the road up on a small hill, which overlooks some parts of the lake. The rooms are of average size, are very clean, and are situated on well landscaped grounds. Their rates are in the mid range in comparision with other motels in the area. My favorite part of Bay Top Motel is getting to talk with owner, who is a great guy. Highly recommend this hotel. All rooms are "themed" from ice fishing to bridal party. Spacious, squeaky clean rooms, jacuzzi in every room, gas fireplace in every room, flat panel TV in every room. "Den" on lobby level with jigsaw puzzles, books, chess board, etc. Nice place to relax. Two golden retrievers on premises make you feel welcome. These people go out of their way to please you. Attached restaurant "O" is gorgeous and has food to die for with portions that are very large and satisfying. This is THE place to stay in Laconia.
Nice view of the lake ... but the real thrill is inside. Very nicely appointed "themed" rooms with an attached spa and also an attached restaurant. I went up to Steele Hill with my fiance on a resort tour, we found the deal on their homepage. We actually had a great time. We stayed over the weekend and were able to take in all the hiking trails and relax in the pools. The package included dinner for the two of us and the views from this place are absolutely killer.
I loved the views, we probably spent 2 hours just staring out the window with our coffee in the morning. My fiance really enjoyed all the hiking trails on the property. This is more like a condo with large rooms of all different configurations, We had the studio. it was like having a large kitchen and living room with two beds. one was the sofa bed but both were comfortable enough. The view was the best overlooking lake Winasquam about 25 min. to weirs,
