Dana Place in Pinkham Notch: Accommodation to avoid

This Inn has a very swish website, promising a luxury stay. In fact, it's extremely run down and is a huge disappointment. Worst of all is its restaurant - truly the worst food I've been faced with in almost 20 years of eating out - despite being quite pricey. Sadly, we had prepaid to stay 3 days (including meals) and there was no refund option of any kind. Avoid this place like the plague.

The Inn is located on the road to Mount Washington - so is currently trading on its wonderful location. There are plenty of other options for accommodation though - e.g. in Jackson. Shop around.
