Tuckerman's Ravine
by goingsolo
This was supposed to be a shortcut and an easier way down. But the entire mountain is covered in those dreaded rocks. I know this is the granite state, but is it too much to ask for to find a dirt trail?
Again, I am kidding. This little segue lead to a cool area within the ravine and past a steep slope where, I'm told, people ski in the winter.
Black Mountain Ski Area
by KaiM
A jewel located in Jackson (Rt. 16B), about 10 minutes north of North Conway. Cheaper and better than Cranmore Ski Area directly in North Conway. 4 lifts and 40 trails. Half day adult tickets for $23 and full day tickets for $32. Some pretty tough, narrow and twisting black diamond trails. But also nice beginner terrain. I had a great time at Black Mountain. Kancamagus Highway 1

" Kancamagus Highway "
The highway is about 34 miles in length and starts just a couple of miles from Conway. It ends in the town of Lincoln, a touristy area with many restaurants, hotels, and condos on the water. Along the way you get some spectacular scenery of the mountains, the Kancamagus Pass, and the valleys below. There are quite a few places to stop and take pictures and most of the stops have little plaques explaining the history of the area or the geographical significance.
" Photos "
Most of my photos come from stopping on the side of the road and getting out with my three (phone, 35 mm, digital) cameras. Some, however, were actually taken FROM the car as I was driving. I do not suggest this. ;-)
