Borgata is one of the newest casino/hotels in Atlantic City. It is located a bit away from the boardwalk strip, near Harrah's and has the reputation for being a hangout for twenty and thirty-somethings from the Philadelphia area. It's structure is reminiscent of Wynn or the Palms in Vegas: chic and sophisticated. Aside from the gambling and usual hotel fare, you can find a spa and an event venue at the Borgata. Big shows like Gwen Stefani and Bob Dylan come here for their AC shows. Great dining can be found here, including the creations of Chef Bobby Flay. Casual and fine dining is available, and reservations are suggested for all dinner seatings.
Aside from being the young, hip location, Borgata is also known for being pricey. Some rooms start at $200 a night but the weekend I visited you couldn't find a room for under $400 a night.
Even if you're not staying here, take a trip over to see the gorgeous glass sculptures. The sculptures hang from the ceilings, "grow" like wildflowers and crawl up the walls. It's really an amazing sight.
