The Perfect Getaway!

Every year, my mother and I go to Cape May, NJ for a weekend getaway. We stay at a different B and B every time, but this year we found gold!! We stayed at the Bedford Inn and were immediately greeted by the innkeepers, Archie and Stephanie. They made our stay extra special, and the food was by far the best we have encountered at any B and B!! The rooms were cozy and the extra special touches were more than welcoming. We will be heading back and will search for the perfect Inn no longer. the Bedord Inn is it!!
Beautiful and relaxing

The Bedford Inn surpassed our expectations. I am normally a big city hotel kind of person and was wary about staying at a B&B, but I had nothing to worry about. From the time we arrived, after a long drive in traffic, we were greeted by the owner, Archie, who made us feel at home right away. He moved his car so that we could park in front of the Inn and helped us bring our bags inside before showing us around.
The Inn was such a pleasure because Archie and his wife Stephanie provided a personal touch, with a relaxing atmosphere, all while still giving you your space. I especially loved the little conveniences, like coffee, hot chocolate, or tea at any time of the day, breakfast every morning (on the porch if you like), the beach chairs and towels (the beach is a block away and you can still borrow the chairs/towels after checkout), and even menus from many of the local restaurants. Best of all, everything (beach, restaurants, boardwalk, shops, etc.) are all in walking distance - no need to drive around.
Archie and Stephanie were so warm and welcoming that by the time we checked out, we felt like we were leaving old friends. Absolutely can't wait to go back!

We just returned from our 4 day stay at The Bedford Inn and we had a wonderful time! The Inn is beautifully decorated and is very clean. The owners are very friendly and gave us great suggestions as to where to dine and other attractions to see. The buffet breakfast was delicious and included french toast, egg souffles, fresh fruit, and my favorite, blueberry strata. The location is absolutely perfect. It is located very close to the beach and to a bike rental shop, a half of a block away, and is a short walk to shopping and dining. We really enjoyed our stay at The Bedford and look forward to returning to this charming Inn soon.
Definitely coming back

We stayed here for two nights and three days in June. Archie and Stephanie were superb hosts. The accommodations were excellent, the breakfasts were very good, and the location was ideal. We're not usually Bed & Breakfast people, but with the kids away for the weekend, we thought it was the right thing to do when staying in Cape May. It was!

My husband and I had a great few days here at the Bedford Inn. The owners, Archie and Stephanie, made us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. They both cooked the most delicious homemade breakfasts and they also had some "homemade goodies" for us in the afternoon too! The people we met during our stay were all nice and we enjoyed getting to know them at breakfast. You could hear alot of laughter at the table in the morning. The dining room had the most beautiful hand painted pictures on the walls and the ceiling. We will come back for another stay.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at the Bedford Inn this July. My parents were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary, and Archie worked with me over a few days to make the family weekend at the Bedford Inn possible, even given several factors that made planning difficult. The inn was the perfect place to celebrate their anniversary - and we would definitely stay at the inn again, either for another celebration or just for a few days of relaxation. Archie and Stephanie are wonderful - they go out of their way in every case to ensure that you have a great stay. The food is absolutely delicious, the inn has beautiful murals in the main room, the beds were very comfortable, the rooms are a good size, and the location is fabulous -- just a block from the beach, and a couple blocks away from the main part of town. My husband and I stayed at Angel of the Sea once before. While that inn does have a more unobstructed view of the ocean, it can't compare to the location of the Bedford Inn. Bedford was better located, and felt much more comfortable and warm, thanks to Archie and Stephanie. Angel was nice, but felt much more commercial. We would definitely stay at the Bedford again when we return to Cape May, and we would recommend it to anyone.
Great First Experience

This was our first experience and couldn't be more pleased. Didn't know what to expect at a B&B. The innkeepers, Stephanie and Archie, were pleasant, down-to-earth people and couldn't be more accommodating. They made our first stay very comfortable and enjoyable. This will not be our last stay at the Bedford Inn.
Location was within walking distance to the beach, dining and shopping. The inn was spotless and the service excellent. The breakfasts were delicious and we just loved "tea time". Stephanie and Archie felt more like friends than just the innkeepers.
We would definitely recommend the Bedford Inn to all our friends.
perfect vacation get a way

We stayed at the Bedford for 3 nights last week and it was "magical!" The house is beautiful, the room very comfortable, the food delicious and the hospitality warm and inviting. We felt very relaxed from the moment we checked in. Archie and Stephanie were wonderful hosts who take pride in their victorian era home and in making all the guests feel welcomed and at home. We also enjoyed the conversations with the other guests and close proximity to the beach and other attractions. We are looking forward to booking another stay in the near future and recommend the Bedford to anyone looking to stay in Cape May.
