Don't Even Think of Staying Here

Terrible (1.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on May 17, 2004

If this is what it means to be "Victorian," then what a dismal time that must have been. This hall--a term I use only loosely and because the proprietors do--is a mess of dark, dingy gloomy design with clear pretentions of eclecticism and quirkiness. Instead, these half-concerned inn-keepers offer a building that pales in comparison to its wonderfully warm and inviting Victorian era neighbors. It is close to the beach, a definite benefit when you want to escape the house. Other than that small advantage--all the B&Bs in this area are close to the beach--this place has nothing to offer except the feeling of having chosen the wrong place for that special weekend. Choose one of the other B&Bs in Cape May.
