Clifton

Clifton is a city in Passaic County, New Jersey and this is where we stayed while we visited New Jersey and New York City. My cousin had been inviting us for years to come for a visit and for some reason or other we could never make it. Finally we came in the summer of 2010. This was our family's summer vacation.
We were told that the weather was going to be horrifically hot, humid and muggy. Enstead it was very comfortable. It was alittle muggy and humid but not too bad. The temperature was in the high 70's low 80's and it was alittle overcast.

"Main Memorial Park"
Main Memorial Park is on the north end of Clifton, New Jersey running along Main Street. It contains a large pond. There is some history connected with the park. It used to be the site of a race track and horse stables that was quite popular at the turn of the 19th Century.
This is the park that the city uses for the fireworks display on July 4th, and there is a parade that ends here on Veterans and Memorial days.
