Hyatt Place Fair Lawn/Paramus: Well-located on Route 4

I have stayed several times at the Hyatt Place, since it is convenient to my son's home. I've enjoyed my stays. The rooms are standard for a Hyatt (expect to sleep well, with good mattresses and bedding), but include a bonus sleeper sofa which is sometimes helpful at holiday times when extra family members need a place to get away from the fray. Plus, it is large enough so that everybody can watch the big flat-screen at the same time! In-room refrigeration is helpful, too. There is an extensive breakfast served daily (always several kinds of fresh fruit along with cereals and pastry), which can be augmented by cooked-to-order omelets and fixings at an extra charge. If you don't have a laptop to take advantage of the free WiFi, there is a small computer room available. There's also a bar, and some kinds of late-night snacks can be purchased there. This turned out to be very important during the massive snowstorm on December 26 when the state basically shut down.

A nice indoor pool (somewhat chilly in December, though) and exercise room are available.

The Fair Lawn/Paramus hotel is situated in the heart of the “shopping capital of New Jersey”, offering easy access to the Garden State Plaza Mall, The Shops are Riverside, The Paramus Park Mall and Bergen Town Center. There are several local family orientated attractions within a close proximity to the hotel such as Van Saun Park/Bergen County Zoo and The New Jersey Children’s Museum. If traveling for business, the hotel is only a few short miles from local companies including Becton Dickinson, Kraft, Sandvik, and Hackensack Medical Center
