A local custom in northern New Jersey occurs two or three times in winter, when local citizens congregate and decide to allow, through a democratic process, tons of snow to be dumped from the skies and blanket our town. This usually happens on a weekend to ensure that local employees have absolutely no chance at getting a free day off from work.
