Visit during one of their many festivals including a yearly Irish festival, jazz festival, Riverfest and more. Spending an evening at the Internet Cafe with my hubby listening to Scott Hathaway perform. He is a local musician who can play the heck out of a guitar.
Neighborhood Mural--#2
by VeronicaG
This is a continuation of Neighborhood Mural #1. The live plantings give an authentic look to the scene. While the young girl teetering on the wall generates interest, the sidewalk beckons the viewer to come and enjoy a walk in the park. (Shrewsbury Avenue and Drs. Parker Street--Red Bank)
Mural on West Front Street, Red Bank
by VeronicaG
Red Bank is dotted with these creative murals--I just loved finding them all for this travel page. These art pieces add so much to the streetscape.
They are scattered about to enhance different sections of the town. They serve to punctuate Red Bank's art community.
Red Bank, and the surrounding...

Red Bank, and the surrounding towns, lost many people on 9/11 including many young 20-30 year olds who often were parents with young children. Riverfront Park has a memorial to those who were killed. It is a very sad but a nice tribute. Located on West Front Street near Broad Street.
RED BANK, NEW JERSEY--A Happenin' Town!
by VeronicaG
"Riverview Park, Red Bank"
Red Bank has many things going for it, one is the river view from this town park. Each Thursday evening in the summer, free jazz concerts were presented. The concerts drew hundreds of people! A snack bar offered light refreshments, but many families enjoyed dinner from their picnic baskets while the children romped in the grass nearby.
The sunsets from this vantage point were glorious! The river breeze caressed the faces of those in the crowd and the evening gently fell to the music of jazz musicians.
Red Bank owes its name to the red color of the banks along the Navesink River.
"Places of Worship and Contemplation"
Red Bank, like any other town, has places of worship. First Presbyterian is a staid reminder that churches are an integral part of the community for many, many people. They provide a foundation for life!
"The Beauty of Art"
Art brings pleasure to life, beauty to one's surroundings and provides sustenance to the creative spirit!
