Watch the tram car, please. ...

Watch the tram car, please. Eat a slice of Mack's Pizza and wash it down with an ice cold birch beer. Fly a kite on the beach. Have some vanilla-walnut fudge from Laura's! This is my 39th year of making the 5-hour pilgrimage to WWNJ and it's extremely difficult to choose a single fondest memory. I think the most fun I ever had in WW was back in the late 60's. We'd vacation the same week every summer and would always meet the same group of kids year-after-year. There were probably 15-20 of us who would carouse 'til the wee hours of the morning on the boards. What a carefree time!!

Ocean Drive: The 40-mile stretch of coastline from Absecon Island (Atlantic City) down to Cape May Point is an example of nature at its best. A drive along this scenic highway can provide a full day of entertainment if you choose to go slowly and really appreciate the remarkable work that nature has performed. Countless islands and a family of bridges operated and maintained by the Cape May Bridge Commission provides the link for you to enjoy the change of pace entertainment experience. Bridge tolls are a modest 50 cents per car and tickets may be purchased at any toll booth which are good for all bridges. This is truly a drive worth taking!

Cape May Zoo
by missmommy19
Cape May County Park & Zoo is located a short drive from Wildwood. It is not a large zoo, around 200 acres, but it is nice, offers a wide range of animals, birds and reptiles, and admission is free (donation boxes are throughout the zoo). It has a snack bar and gift shop. If you need a day away from the beach, or even a few hours, it is a nice place to visit. It is located on Route 9 and Crest Haven Road, easily accessed from the Garden State Parkway (exit 11). Open daily 10 am -4:45 pm in the summer.

WILDWOOD

Miles of beaches and boardwalk. Plenty to do for people of all ages. The waterparks on the boardwalk are some of the best around! If you like fishing or crabbing you can rent a boat to take out, or just for sightseeing you can go out on the Delta Lady or the Silver Bullet. Numerous outdoor decks and restaurants. Don't miss the Christmas in July boat parade.
