The rides are the main attraction

The rides are the big attraction in Wildwood. With 3 major piers (the best are Morey's Pier and Mariner's Landing for which you can buy a multi pass) and several smaller peirs, there is something for everyone. There's kiddie rides, bumper boats, carousels, a giant ferris wheel with an amazing view, several water parks, a log flume and bumper cars! Not to mention everything in between. My favorite spot in Wildwood are the water parks. I buy a two hour pass, float in the lazy river and slip and slide!
What to bring!

Dont bring too many bags-if you can bring one big one you're sorted. Theres a lot of lugging aroung trying to get from New York to the final destination,ie. youre new home in wildwood!! And the heat wont help matters any! Dont do like I did, and assume therell be great shops to buy summer clothes bikinis and stuff-there isnt. Bring loadsa shorts, small tops ets. But bring lots of going out clothes too. Towards the end of the summer can get cool so bring one or two pairs of jeans. Every so often theres a MASSIVE downpour of rain so maybe a light coat or something. DOnt wast valuable space shoving in jumpers and sweaters-you wont ear them. If I had one piece of advice to any student going to ww for the summer it would be : bring as much shampoos sunscreens shower gels razors etc as u can because you wont be able to afford them over there. Its simple as that, its not that there THAT expensive its that between nightlife and general living you wont have the cash. Bring a camera-again you wont have enough money to buy one
The Dragon House.

This is a great classic Chinese restaurant. It offers BYOB (bring your own alcohol) which makes for fun filled dinner parties. Open late night and right in the thick of the main clubbing area in town. The best Lo Mein I have ever had.

Some call it tacky, some call it nostalgic, some call it downright ugly... whatever you consider the decor of Wildwood, NJ to be, one thing is for sure... it's always buzzing like the neon signs that light the plastic palms on the decks of the hotels and motels ala 1960's. When I go back to Wildwood, I always expect to see groovy chicks riding Stingray bikes on the boardwalk in the morning sun, trampolines off Youngs Ave (or was it Roberts?), the high diving acts of the aqua-circus and the thrills and spills of go-carts!
