    Due to a change in vacation plans, thought we would spend a couple days in Wildwood prior to returning home. We did not have reservations and several hotels in the area we called while in route had no vacancies. Worried we would not find a room, we reserved 2 rooms at this motel. First room (#19) we were given was bug infested, room being exterminated, returned to front desk, Jeff (front desk) not aware room was torn apart. Next room (#17), wet washcloth on bed, dirty towel on floor, went back to front desk, office now locked, this was at 3:00 in the afternoon. The rooms do not have phones, desk, chair, luggage rack. The bathroom floor was filthy, tub had mildew on the walls, the shower head was so old it was permanently pointed to the wall, the "shelf" in the bathroom leaned towards the floor so you could not set your toiletries on it. The water would not shut off completely from the bathroom sink. The hand soap wall dispenser in the bathroom did not work.The was only one lamp in the room the second lamp we discovered was not plugged in because the wall socket was hanging out of the wall, no cover plate over the wall outlet. Coffee pot in the room, no coffee to go with it, no where to plug it in. Not only was the room a nightmare, the partying was constant all night long, loud talking and loud music from the backside by the pool. A $20.00 cash deposit was required on the room keys. In order to get your depost back, you are not told this up front, the office does not open until 9:00 A.M., so if you need to leave earlier, the night before you bring one key back, your $20.00 is refunded, then the next morning you drop the other key off into the key slot which the key falls to the floor of the "lobby", not even in a closed box. Very overpriced for the quality. Stayed one night too many.

    Unique Quality: Unique in the sense it is uniquely filthy.

  • KNOLL'S (LAST) RESORT MOTEL

    WARNING: BEDBUGS!!!!! Room had a smell with a musty cat urine undertone. Room was rather unkempt and bathroom especially the shower/tub. No courtesy toiletries. Flat pillows.

    The price was very cheap (RED FLAG, I should have known)...but you get what you pay for.
    I may have rated this place to be somewhat "acceptable" if you had NOWHERE else to go and can tolerate a bit of bad, lazy housekeeping; however; BEDBUGS are unacceptable.

    Unique Quality: BEDBUGS
    hitchhiked home with my belongings after being at Knoll's Resort. Since staying there, I have had itchy welts up and down my arms and a secondary infection from scratching. It has cost me more than the entire vacation to rid these nasty disgusting blood sucking scummy bugs. Even after an expensive extermination of my entire home, I am still battleing these DISGUSTING things.

    The Management was defensive and argumentative when I notified them.

  • Knolls is the WORST!!! Bedbugs!!

    My sister had an experience from hell at this motel. During her first and only night there, she was eaten up by bedbugs and had to flee the place the next morning. The management was extremely uncooperative and indifferent to her plight and refused to issue her even a partial refund and an apology. Unfortunately, she took the bedbugs back home with her in her luggage (which is par for the course with bedbugs!), and now her entire home is infested with them. She now is facing hundreds of dollars in exterminator bills to rid her home of bedbugs!

    Unique Quality: None, The place is a dirty, fleabag, bed-bug motel!

  • HORRIBLE!!! THE WORST VACATION EVER

    Was going to stay for 3 nights but could only stand 1.
    Very dirty!!! Carpet had stains, shower had hair all over it like it had never been cleaned, Toilet as well!!! Faucet on sink had toothpaste splatter all over it! The towels, sheets and pillow cases had stains and hair all over them, and the room had a funky mildew smell. Funny how they boast that they were remodled in 2007! If they did it was the bare minimum!
    Over all comfort and size: The beds were very small full size beds, not Queens as advertised! THEY WERE HARD AS A ROCK!!!!!!! You could only lay in one postion until you felt like you were on concrete! There was only 2 of us, I could not imagine a family of 4 in this room it was very small! And it was the larger of the 2 rooms we were shown. The rooms are not large like they claim on the website! There are 3 floors but no elevator and very steep steps!! The top step was very uneven and could have easily tripped up any child or adult that was not paying attention.
    Pool was very small, the pictures on the website make it look bigger!There was only enough room for about 6 lounges and if there is a big family there forget about using the pool!
    Talk about big families!!! There was a family reunion there and they were so loud and obnoxious day and night! The manager did nothing about it. They took over the hotel like it was theirs and again the manager did nothing about it!
    Management is not on staff at night, they close up the office at 10pm. The night I was there at 3:30am some drunks had come back to their hotel rooms and proceded to have a screaming argument outside of our door! They were very very loud and there wasn't management on duty to do anything about this!!! The next day I complained and learned that the manager does live within the building! I cant believe that he did not hear it and also why dont they make that known to their customers? Anyone could have an emergency and need the manager and they dont want their customers to know! Very unprofessional!!!

    So we left and lost the money that we spent, that was how unhappy we were!! When I asked the manager about getting any money back he refused! There was a total disregard for the customer and my satisfaction! Stay away from this hotel!!! Walk a block in either direction and you can get a hotel that isnt cracking, unlevel and falling apart! You can spend your hard earned money elsewhere and get alot more!!!
