  • This is one of the nicer KOA's that I've seen in my travels. It's fully fenced, lots of trees, complete with electric and water hook up, a laundry mat, gift shop, shower facilities and real bathrooms (not porta potties..haha).

    Located less than a mile from the mall and super Kmart, the Sheriffs office and a couple of bank drive thrus with ATMS

  • This hotel is great for bachelorette parties, prom parties (if you're bad) and spicing up your love life. They have regular ol' rooms that are pretty cheap but good for travelers, and then there are the suites. The suites are lightly themed and decorated accordingly. My particular favorite was the Gotham City suite, which has the Gotham Skyline painted on the walls, a huge bed, mirrored walls behind the bed, mirror above the bed, 2 person jacuzzi tub next to the bed, and hot pink neon lights that line the mirrored wall. Mini fridge and decent size bathroom too. As you can imagine, it's a whole lot of fun if you're with your significant other or if you're just having a roaring slumber party with the girls.

    Outdoor pool, sauna, free continental breakfast, Jacuzzi tubs in suites... you pay a deposit that you get back so long as you don't break the jacuzzi.

    You cant tell by the outside or surrounding area or even the inside for that matter, but this place really is a dump. I am sure there is beds in there somewhere along with Bum vomit. It sure is roomy though!

    Great view of the sky from the holes in roof, the non-existant windows keep you in touch with ambient temperatures.

  • Recently renovated, this Hampton Inn has a snappy new feeling. Rooms are plenty comfy as my room had two double beds, TV unit/dresser, and work table. Each room also has high speed access through Ethernet cables which are available free of charge if you don’t carry one with you. My co-worker’s room didn’t have a working port however, and neither did the room he was moved to. So ask to make sure the room’s high speed access is functional if it’s important to you. Conveniently located within walking distance to Chili’s and Golden Corral, if you like the chains.

  • The good: It's close to everything. Of course, Alamogordo isn't huge so this shouldn't be a problem anywhere. The bad: The rooms were okay, but nothing to write home about and the lobby area is small and dirty. Plus, it was uncomfortably hot and the air conditioner was incredibly loud. If you're just looking for a place to stay for one night this will do. If you'll be spending more than one day or think you'll be in the hotel room for more than just sleeping, I'd go somewhere else.

  • Not a huge deal, but it was a clean room, super cozy bed (wink wink) and the comforter wasn't that flat scratchy thing like at most hotels.... it was plush and fluffy like a bed should be. In fact it was so nice, I didn't get out of it very much except to eat, but the food isn't worth mentioning. We hung up the privacy sign, and no one bothered us the whole time. If you're looking to get some romantic privacy with your sweetheart or are just willing to pay a little extra for a good night's sleep, this is your place.
