Victorian Elegance

Our experience at "the Mauger" (pronounced "Major") B&B was just about as good as it gets. Brass beds, quillts, all the accoutrements of Victorian living. Great location just a few blocks west of downtown Albuquerque, and two miles or so from the historic Old Town area, with it's shops, restaurants, and several diverse museums along Mountain Road.

This is not your place if you want to stay in your room and watch TV. This is a place to go back to a simpler time, and relax in a rocking chair on the front porch, and enjoy conversations with other travelers seeking to escape the stresses of our modern world.

Highly recommended! Very romantic! This would be a great choice for honeymooners, couples celebrating their anniversary, or just a "getaway" weekend.

Breakfast was delicious too, with many choices available. Perhaps the finest B&B in Albuquerque.

Great B and B

This beautifully restored Queen Anne Victorian built in 1897 is the former home of wool baron William Mauger. It is on the National Registry of Historic Places. Decorated with period antiques, the house has high ceiling and lovely brass appointments.

Located in Downtown Albuquerque and only a short walk to the Downtown Entertainment District, Convention Center, public transportation and Old Town, this is a very convenient place to stay. All rooms have private baths with showers and one has a private balcony. Breakfast is served each morning.
