This hotel is very convenient to major freeways which makes it easy to get to all attractions. For a reasonable price (>$70/night) we were provided a balcony with chairs, a fridge, coffee, hairdryer, microwave, high-speed internet, and a DVD player (rent free DVDs in lobby), sodas and popcorn in the lobby nightly. We had a great view of the Balloon Fiesta from our 5th floor room. While one person at the desk was less than overjoyed to help us, overall the service was polite. Plaza Inn provides a great place to stay on a long trip with a small budget. However, if you are looking for upscale dining and drinks, go somewhere else. The bar is literally a local sports bar. While we were surprised to be stared at when we walked in, the locals proved very friendly and their colorful stories entertaining. The restaurant is the local equivalent of Denny's, and, after hearing that Deferment Dick Cheney had held a private meeting with supporters there the previous week, we opted to take advantage of the generous and free continental breakfast in the lobby. One more thing-- a free shuttle will take you to some attractions and personal appointments if you sign up at the desk!
Lots of ammenities, free breakfast, sodas, and snacks in the evenings, sundeck, two jacuzzis, huge indoor pool, workout room and games, very small basketball "court" in the parking lot. Rooms are newly renovated and luxuriously appointed with no detail overlooked. However, if you are a nonsmoker don't stay on the lower level.
