We stayed 2 nights, while touring the Carlsbad Area and the caverns. Room was large and clean, with plenty of room, larger than a hotel room. The free morning breakfast was decent, just what we needed to start the day. Only problem we had was our room entry door would not open with our key on more than one occasion. The electonic mechanizism on the door would not work correctly. Staff apparently knew this, said you just had to pull on the door handle to get it to work. Several times we had to ask staff for additional help, we couldn't get it to work. Other than that annoyance, we would rate this a 2 star, and would stay there again if we travel to the area. Road Construction causes some inconvience get into and out of parking lot.
