Pancho Villa State Park: Roughing it in Columbus

This is just a normal New Mexican campground. When I went in early November it was full of snowbirds (eldery people who motorhome in the South during the cold months). Several sites with hook-ups are available, as well as I believe some tent sites.

A small museum is housed in the old train depot on the State Park grounds. One old building shot up and burned also lies within the small State Park.

Suncrest Inn.: classic roadtrip motel.

It would be pretty hard to miss if it wasn't such a small town to begin with. If you are taken aback by the level of sophistication than you must remember - things are a little more laid back down here. Rooms come with 2 twin beds. A shower, sink and mirror. No TV cable is included, but a TV that gets local transmissions is.

A patio light is pretty nice for keeping an eye on your car.
