A well located Business hotel in Philadelphia

Ok Comfort Inns do not offer alot of atmosphere especially this one but they are affordable. More important, this hotel was well situated, with the historical monuments of Philadelphia being very close. Unfortunately the hotel looks like just another concrete block from afar and the immediate vicinity was hardly glamous. I hope you do not mind the kid selling drugs on the turn on to the highway. He looked harmless enough but I did not attempt to move in on his turf. The area appeared to be safe after dark. There are lots of good restaurants and bars not too far from hotel.

After two months I'll go to California for a 15 days,Is there any cheap Hotel/Motel with good services?And give any tips for the long journey travel cause i dont have any experience in long journey travel tour,Any comment or suggestion would be appreciated.

But....be careful when you consider hotel rates. Motel6, Econolodge, Super8 and other motel/hotel rates says $xx/per person, not per room. Also, I am not sure if you are particular about your security because these motels have exterior entrances, anyone from outside can knock on your door.
If I can, I prefer to stay at 4-star hotels. But sometimes when I am on business trips, there are places where the best hotel is a 2-star or 3-star hotels. Without knowing what your budget is, Hampton Inns and Courtyard by Mariott are among the very reasonable ones, good service, clean with interior hallway entrance and sometimes offer free breakfast. If you know exactly when you want to stay at these hotels and want to get the best rate, compare by going thru travel websites such as expedia, travelocity or even priceline and compare by calling the hotel directly.

California is a big state. So, I would suggest renting a car and see various cities as a road trip.
Holiday Inns, some Best Westerns and Comfort Inns are fairly inexpensive yet not run down like a Motel6, Econolodge or Vagabond Inns.

Actually Motel 6's are being update, have stayed in many very nice ones in California. You will find others suggested by the previous poster in the mid to upper mid range.

A: "I stayed there 15-20 years ago. It was a great place...friendly, and wonderful decor and artwork. Sorry to hear that it may have gone out of business."
