Las Vegas Inn: A dump to avoid...
Ok, this must set off warning bells when the only hotel in town with rooms is the Las Vegas Inn (I was there when the I-25 was closed and *everyone* was forced off the highway in Las Vegas) and they only accept cash.
We payed 50 USD for a room with two beds and we ended up staying a total of 10 minutes in the place before leaving.
The beds had no sheets, the walls look like they are falling apart. There was a porn mag on the night table (so there was at least one good thing to this place! haha!).
The indoor swimming pool is -FILLED WITH DIRT- literally. It's been filled with dirt and left uncovered. So you walk into this massive room and see in the dark a mound of dirt....nice.
Avoid this place...

Knights Rest: Budget Hotel
This place seemed a bit expensive for what I got. There were several items I thought this hotel should have had, but it didn't: No remote for the tv, no phone, no soda machines, and no ice dispenser.
I stayed here on mid October. By this time the night time temperatures were between 0 and -5C. The heat in the room still wasn't working - grrr.
