Place to stay away from
I have stayed at this motel twice. The first time it was another name. The second time it had changed to the Red Roof Inn. Because I was pleased with it the first time I wanted to stay the again. So I made reservations for 3 days over the Memorial Day in 2003. I ask for a handicap room and to make sure I called the motel and talked with someone twice and possiby 3 times. When we got there, they didn't have anything except a regular room on the second floor. I can't walk much and sure can't climb stairs. My son helped me up that day and he ran up and down for everything. I could't go out to eat or anything. While he was running up and down the stairs he noticed that 3 rooms just under us was vacant all night with the curtins open. He ask why we could not have one of them and was told they were special rooms. How special we offered to pay more for one but still couldn't get one. I left the motel for the Memorial service and came home with them oweing me one more day of my stay. The room was so dirty that I didn't want to close the shower curtin to take a shower as it looked like it had been used in the oil field and never cleaned and the rest of the room was not better.
Service and cleaning they don't have. Many nice places in Santa Fe to stay that care enough to keep the rooms clean.
