visit the State Capitol buildings, college campuses such as Rensselaer Polytechnic Istitute, local night spots....... Miss my workshop in the garage the most while away from home. Fondest memory is smoking a Hoyo de Monterey Excalibur (Honduran) cigar!
This is Albany's serious fine dining establishment. The food is incredible (though on the pricey side) and the ambience is great. The walls of the dining room are decorated with vintage photos of downtown Albany so that diners can see the history of the city. Their cheesecake is absolutely delicious. It manages to be light yet rich at the same time. Yum!
The Alive at Five Concert Series
Free concerts by area sponsors as well as the City of Albany.
It is a great way to relax and have fun with your friends, even meet new people and see your favorite bands.
All genres of music are offered.
Albany is the capitol of NY State. I didn't see much of the city, so I don't know that much about it. It is located in part of the State which offers scenic drives once out of Albany, and pretty parks too.
