The motel is situated on one main highway, near the expressway exit/entrance and away from the truck traffic flow. The outside is mildly landscaped. There was a strip mall within 100 yards where you could get food, toiletries, clothing, etc.
We asked for a ground floor room, no smoking, two beds, away from the elevator and we got it.... no problem.... and with a smile to boot.
The rooms are average quality, the beds and linens were clean, all the facilities worked and there was only a hint of mold around the tub at the floor.
It was off season, early spring and very uncrowded.
There were internet accesses available in the lobby (or for a fee, in your room). You got a free US World paper in the morning. Coffee maker (4 cup brewer), ironing board and hair dryer in the room.
The staff was pleasant and efficient and actually knew where places were in the area and how best to get to them.
The breakfast was free, full menu, from the attached restaurant.
The evening meal specials tended toward the Spanish/Mexican cuisine but you could order anything American ala carte.
The price was around $60 plus tax AAA rate for double occupancy in 2005. That is reasonable price for the quality level and location.
Unique Quality: pretty much an average motel....
