Buffalo's Amazing Place

First of all, Honu House isn't a true B&B since Karen doesn't actually do breakfast. She will do coffee and tea and there's a lovely kitchen in which she'll no doubt let you cook. Considering that the Breakfast part of B&B often entails an extra $30-50, I'm just fine with saving that money and grabbing a bite on-the-go.

Our room at Honu, The Middle Suite, ran $95 ($107 with tax), and was one of the most lovely rooms in the most lovely house I've ever seen. We were the only guests in the house that night so we got the guided tour of all the rooms - and they are all spectacular. The master suite and the long-stay Skylight Suite are particularly stunning. The common areas are beautifullly decorated and all of the bath/shows are fantastic. Honu House is in a great Buffalo location with access to the museums and art district along with easy drives to all major roads (we drove to Hamilton, ON for a show). I cannot say enough about Honu House. I've staying on dozens of B&Bs and this is at the top of the list. If you're in Buffalo don't even think about a hotel.

Unique Quality: The beds are wonderful. The towels are soft European style. What Karen's done with the baths and showers is so cool. Great location. Great. Great. Great.
