Motorhome Parking at Airport

by arendsg

We need to park our motorhome at or near Buffalo International for a week, as we need to go to Denver. Is there oversize/overheight parking at this airport? If so where?

Thanks, Gerald

Try going to www.fasttrack.com and look for the Buffalo location. This parking lot is right across the street from the airport and is outdoor, so I think your motorhome may fit. Also, if you want to call the Buffalo location directly, the local number is (716) 633-6040. The custimer service number is 866-727-5728.

FASTRAC is the discount place to park and their customer service line for answering many questions (if you are patient enough to wait on the phone)can be reached at Customer Support Line: 866-922-PARK (7275)
(toll-free, open Monday-Friday 6am-12am, Saturday & Holidays 9am-5pm EST)

BNIA (Buffalo Airport) has long term parking for about $50 per week. I do not know if they specifically have rules concerning oversized vehicles but you can easily find out by calling BNIA parking services at 716-634-0315 (they do not have a toll free phone number).

Travel Tips for Buffalo

Visit the Albright-Knox...

by jaybird199

Visit the Albright-Knox Gallery. Believe it or not, New York's Museum of Modern Art is now a parter with Albright-Knox. MOMA is offering weekend packages to come to Buffalo and visit the museum(yes its THAT good). It is located on Elmwood Ave. in North Buffalo along the strip not far from the UB campus. My fondest memory of Buffalo is actually in the suburbs. While visiting as a kid we would get snowed in quite often due to Lake Effect snow which plagues the area in winter when Lake Erie isn't frozen over. There were many times we would be snowed in and couldn't go home and it was one giant movie-fest! We would build forts, go sledding, and of course eat great food! But like so many areas with frequest rough winters, we were plowed out soon and life resumed.

A few Buffalo secrets...

by ajt141

1.) The first thing you'll notice when you get to Buffalo is the annoying accents.
2.) It's called "pop" here, not "soda".
3.) If you want to see the cast of MTV's Sorority Life, most of them work at Quote on Chippewa Street.
4.) A Buffalonian's diet: Roast beef on weck, chicken fingers or chicken wings with Nino's homemade bleu cheese dressing, Chavetta's barbecue chicken, sponge candy and loganberry to wash it all down with.
5.) Buffalo is the birthplace of Milard Fillmore, Harold Arlen (the composer of the Wizard of Oz) and Broadway legend Michael Bennett. Lucille Ball was born 45 minutes away in Jamestown.
6.) East Amherst has been continuously voted the safest town in America.
6.) Don't feel afraid to nod and say hello. Buffalo is the friendliest town in America.

Hockey anyone?

The Buffalo Sabres of the NHL are our home team. They play their home games at the HSBC Arena in downtown Buffalo. There are usually tickets available at various prices if you want to take in a game.

Welcome to New York's favorite resort for skiing and snowboarding.

53 slopes and 12 lifts, powerhouse snowmaking and grooming system, beautiful base lodges and guest rooms, spread over 1100 acres on a 750 foot vertical drop give you plenty of variety no matter what kind of skiing or riding you like.

36 slopes are open at night skiing and riding.

12 lifts carry over 22,000 skiers per hour and 95% snowmaking coverage keeps the slopes white, even when there's no snow in your own back yard.

Three base lodges provide all of the comforts and services you'd expect of a first class resort:

Holiday also has the fun-loving Village of ellicottville, make Holiday Valley simply the best in the region!

When visiting Niagara Falls,...

When visiting Niagara Falls, take a half-hour ride into Canada and visit the Welland canal, view ships passing through the locks, and even visit the Welland canal Museum, located near one of the locks. This is fun and interesting for all ages.
