It is nice to see the lake on a warm summer day and even better to have a look to see if there is a blizzard in the area if you are visiting here.

The Canandaigua Waterfront Art Festival is held annually on the last weekend in July.
Over 150 local artists will be exhibiting their talent with prices ranging from $20 to $200.
Besides the art there will be live stage entertainment by local bands; food vendors; leather and wood craft works also. There is a tented area where kids can have some fun also doing face painting and macrame and sand sculpture.
Entrance into the art park is $3 (kids free).
see the website below for times and dates.

This is a full-facility 18-hole golf course. It is a longish course that runs 5600 yards on the short tees and 6800 yards on the long tees.
They celebrated their fortieth anniversary (2005) and have been a favorite in the Canandaigua area for years. It is an esteemed member of the Rochester District Golf Association.
The course is fairly wide open fairways of rye grass with bent grass greens. During the summer, the heat tends to brown-out the rough and parts of the fairway so that the course plays faster than normal.
Greens fees (with cart) run from $25 to $35. It is a semi-private club and requires reservations for tee times (see the phone number below). Dress code is collared shirt and standard pants or shorts for men; blouse and pants or skirt for women. The open season is from May to October.
Home Sweet Home

The lake is the focal point of this small "city" in the Finger Lakes. I love it here. Summer is great for outdoor activities. Obviously all water sports but also a few good hiking trails. Main Street shopping has something for everyone. If you like cinnamon buns you have to stop by Catskill bagel and bakery for the ultimate in to die for buns! Fall is gorgeous here. In winter the city slows down a bit, but Bristol Mountain is 20 minutes away and offers skiing & snowboarding. My favorite spring activity is taking a leisurely walk up and down North Main St. checking out the beautiful homes. Come visit :)
